I love it when customers come up with challenging unusual ideas for me to work on. This was a broken ceramic flowerpot that belonged to Carol Livingston’s Grandmother. It’s now a mosaic flower pot!
Some more progress.
Here are the Stepping stones completed today by Seniors at Dixon Gallery and Gardens in the Creative Aging Senior Studio Workshop. The fish is not grouted because she missed a couple of classes but it is really cool! If you haven’t been to the Dixon lately, go ! The gardens are beautiful every season and the art is inspiring and it’s free! Thank you Margarita for having me. The education building is an awesome light filled space and the staff is so nice!
I don’t tile the sides of things too often but decided to on this Mandala Heart. Here it is grouted.
The Seniors at Lakeland Senior center did a great job on their heart mosaics and one address mosaic. This is the 3rd or 4th class I have done there. They are always so nice and very creative and fun. We didn’t get them done by Valentines’ Day because of the snow but that’s okay.
Happy Valentines Day! Got this heart thinset onto a foam substrate with the leftover from my tub surround.
The girls at Hutchison did a good job on their pottery for their Valentines.❤️
Just grouted this stepping stone.
Flower of life color wheel mandala.
This painting is 8”x10” for some friends’ son who lives in New York. It was fun to paint and they were very pleased with it. I hope their son will like it.
Wind chimes- love them or hate them? I think these came out pretty well for a first attempt. This is my model for a class I’ve been teaching at Linda Kerley Senior Center in Collierville. Can’t wait to see how theirs turn out tomorrow!
Just unloaded the kiln and I’ve got some new charming Christmas Trees, cool fun little ornaments, and super awesome mugs. I’ll have it all at Lightfoot Farms 7420 Ward Road tomorrow from 9-2. It might be a bit chilly but the sun will be shining so come one out!
Come see me and all the other great vendors tomorrow from 9-2!
These are the mosaics that the seniors created at my Dixon Gallery and Gardens “Garden Mosaics” workshop. ❤️
Here are some of the fabulous mosaics from my Garden Mosaics class at the Dixon gallery and Gardens.

These are some of the coil pots the girls in Studio Art at Hutchison made this semester. The Lord has allowed me to sub for this upper school class this semester. It’s been challenging with some girls being virtual some of the time but rewarding to see them learning new skills and expressing themselves creatively.
Still have a few finishing touches to put on this project but I wanted to share these detail pics I took the other day. This is in the Terrace 3rd floor memory unit dining room. The Strong Girls group at Hutchison interviewed the residents in 2019. I chose some of their memories to incorporate in the mural. This was definitely outside of my comfort zone as I usually stick to strictly mosaics. Luckily Hutchison provided a place to work on it and hang the painted portion in the hallway as Covid kept me from installing it for a year! so good to see it finally coming together.

These are mosaics from my most recent mosaic class at Lakeland Senior Center. They are always a fun and talented group. They are very creative and do nice work. These are freeze thaw resistant which means they can go outside without damage from winter conditions.
