🍶 Homemade Pottery from Garden Path Studio
Today I unloaded the pottery from my Hutchison pottery camp last week. I wanted to give everything plenty of time to dry before it was fired so their would be no explosions! I had a rising 4th grader, a 6th grader, and an 8th grader. They were all super sweet and very creative. We had a lot of fun and I think they are going to be pleased when they see their pieces!
Made this Picasso inspired wall hanging planter today. I was inspired by the cardboard ones that Dana Harris’ students made last summer. Hopefully my students at Hutchison will be making one next week. Let me know if any adults are interested in doing a class on this at my Studio. I’m flexible on times. Gonna make some wind chimes tomorrow. Also let me know if you are interested in that.
Who wants to make a planter? I’m having two classes at my Studio/Barn Tuesday June 16 and June 23 from 1:00-2:30.
Weather permitting we will work outside under the trees to create a planter/ pot with feet similar to this one. The second class we will glaze them. We will use mid-fire stoneware clay and they will be fired to cone 6 so they will be durable and suitable for outdoor use although you will want to prevent them from freezing in the winter. $70 includes all materials and firing. Each person will have their own tools, board, slip, personal space, etc. Participants will be limited to 6. I will not be wearing a mask. Message me or call me (901)603-2520 if you want to join in. thanks😊
I just added 3 photos of the mosaics completed in today’s Saturday morning class!
It was a great day to finish the four street number mosaics! Thank you Shannon Maris & Jack, Allison Carver, and Sonya Gibson!
Finished the sides on Jane Snider’s fireplace today. She was one of the most pleasant people I’ve had the privilege of doing a commission for. She is always curious, kind, and appreciative! What a blessing to have a nice customer that becomes a friend!
Painting is like stepping in to a time warp sometimes, especially when listening to Bashful Bob’s good old country music. The court square fountain section of this mural made an hour go by in about 20 minutes.
SOLD -This handmade plate will brighten up a dull corner or room or it can be eaten off of!
SOLD-Weird but cute bird. $17 Plant not included.
This pair of mugs fit in my old school cup holders. As always dishwasher and microwave safe. Two for $25 or $15 each.
SOLD! These lovely bowls in blues/greens/ and earth tones nestle nicely for storage and are dishwasher safe and microwaveable. Highly functional works of art. $18 each or the pair for $30.
These two vases or large coffee mugs make a great pair or can be purchased individually.
So....my teaching and commissions involved schools and senior centers that have been closed for over a month as well as spring shows being cancelled or postponed. So at my dear husband’s urging I am posting pictures of my pottery I have on hand. Mother’s Day is coming up or perhaps you need a one of a kind birthday gift or just a little cheer me up for yourself. If you are interested in something, message me and we can arrange payment and delivery.
These amazing ladies did great work!
