We are celebrating the heroes in our building this entire week of May 2–6, with National Teacher Day on Tuesday, May 3. It’s a perfect time to show the educator in your child’s life how much you have appreciated their support over the past school year.

It’s our job to support teachers. To help them prepare for challenges and take on the hard work of refining their craft. We see their talents and strengths, and together, we explore pathways to deliver high-quality instruction for every student.

This National Teacher Appreciation Week, we honor and celebrate the thousands of unseen things educators do to show up in service for students, families, and communities nationwide.

Principal Dr. James Suggs, Stephanie White of Juvenile Court, and Taylor Fayne of Avenue 7 enjoyed speaking with the female scholars today during our “Self-Love” Girl Talk Sessions.

Shelby County Sheriff's Office speaks to scholars about careers in law enforcement and on the job paid training that starts immediately after graduation.
