Hello,

We are looking to hire a dozen Toishanese-English and Cantonese-English Interpreters to do Onsite and Over the Phone Medical Interpretations.
We offer very competitive rates, $50.00 dollars per hour, for Onsite, and $30.00 per hour, for OPI…
If you know of any individuals with excellent language skills please let us know…
We provide free certifications and orientation…

To learn more about us, please visit our website: www.akorbi.com

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9u37wDex_A

At Akorbi we have 3 different options for interpreters, depending on the state where the interpreters live and their ability to meet requirements,
we offer Onsite (face to face) Interpretations.
The options of doing OPI and VRI (Over the phone and Video Remote Interpreting) are offered to all our clients Nationwide.
Please see the requirements for each of these in the forms attached. The platform we launched recently is called Adapt
and it will be the tool our clients use to assist with their interpretation needs, if onsite is not available in their area.
Onsite consecutive assignments are available for qualified interpreters.

Requirements; for our ADAPT Platform, OPI we require a working laptop/desktop with excellent connections to download a software for “softphone” that will act just as a landline for interpreters to take the calls.
VRI requires more capabilities with your laptop/desktop as you will be On Camera/Video assisting the client and customer needing the Interpretation.
I am attaching the requirements with more details for both the OPI and VRI connections.
It is important to know that OPI and VRI will be done by logging into our Adapt Platform; answer the phones in a professional manner,
and data entry will be done for each call taken (answering questions from our clients/members) and a Laptop or PC is required to do this work.
Check minimum technical requirements for details.

*No smartphone/cell phone can be used to do OPI/VRI at this time.

To onboard we require the necessary paperwork (tax form W9, Independent Contract Agreement)
as well as compliance trainings to be able to take Medical and/or Behavioral Health assignments.
If you feel this would be a good fit for you please don’t hesitate to contact me, I will review your resume as soon as I receive it.
Thank you,

Give our helping hands to Houston

During the past week, Hurricane Harvey has devastated millions of people in Houston. Although the hurricane Harvey finally receded, Houston still needs help. We have learned that there are hundreds of thousands people who are now homeless and lack necessities like foods and cloths.

The Greater Memphis United Chinese Association and the Greater Memphis Chinese School at Riverdale are taking the initiatives to call the Chinese community in Memphis to give our hands to help those people in Houston who need help. The Riverdale Youth United will take the lead to organize this event, and we will put a donation box at the Chinese school next Sunday, September 10, 2017.

We will start with soliciting donations from our parents and children and send the donation to the American Red Cross as a group.

Friends, please give your helping hands to Houston. Let's show our deep caring to the people who suffered a tragic loss due to the Hurricane Harvey.

Thank you!
