Calvary Episcopal Church began celebrating its 99th annual Lenten Preaching Series and Waffle Shop on Thursday, March 3. All are invited to attend in person to hear this year’s 16 dynamic speakers. In fact, our very own director of spiritual care, Rev. Joshua Henry Narcisse, will preach on Friday March 18. This year’s preaching series also will be live-streamed at 12:05 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday on Calvary’s page, YouTube channel, and website: https://calvarymemphis.org/learn/lenten-preaching-series/

Rev. Joshua Narcisse recently published his own devotional titled, Songs for the Meantime: A Devotional for Seasons of Waiting & Wandering. Some seasons of our life are spent waiting and wandering, living with delays, uncertainty and exhaustion. The "meantime" can be a spiritual wilderness that is hard to navigate alone. This devotional helps you take a journey, using psalms and hymns, through the meantime and deeper into yourself. What do you do in the meantime? The meantime is always a good time to sit with God.

Songs for the Meantime is available in both print and ebook editions on Amazon and Apple Books:

Meet Dawn, who stands in solidarity with hardworking Memphians who have few options for health care they can afford.

Watch Dawn’s video and see how she puts her faith into practice by supporting high-quality health care for those who need it most at Church Health.

“I think part of the magic of Church Health is that every person who comes in these doors is looked at as an individual, treated as an individual, and given the care they need as an individual.”
