We are pleased to announce that Kathy Harman has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at Bartlett High School, effective at the start of the 2025–2026 school year.
At our recent Bartlett City Board of Education meeting, we were proud to honor several outstanding student-athletes and distinguished retirees who represent the very best of BCS.
Unified Champion Team – 4-Time State Champions!
Unified Sports brings students with and without intellectual disabilities together through shared training and competition. Our Unified Track & Field Team has exemplified unity, dedication, and sportsmanship- earning the State Championship title for the 4th consecutive year! Congratulations to: Janon Busby, Morgan Chalmers, Jordann Davis, Madison Evans, Chris Freemen, Zharia Henry, Brandon Johnson Jr., Alana Mickens, Morgan Mitchell, Chris Moore, Cornelious Moore, Courtney Moore, Cameron Portfield, Logan Riley, Andria Williams, and Chloe Williams.
Girls Track – State Runners-Up with Record-Breaking Season
Our 2025 Girls Track Team delivered an extraordinary season including: State Runners-Up (3A), back-to-back Nike 4x100 National Champions, 38 athletes earned the Award of Merit for a 3.5+ GPA, 7 school records & 1 state record broken, 7 student-athletes signed college scholarships, and 6 athletes earned All-American honors. Congratulations to: Asia Bolden, Ava Boyd, Jordyn Busby, Dior Carney, Jordann Davis, Kassidy Davis, China Giaimo, Traya Hamilton, Kyndall Laws, Amora Lowe, Jasmine McClelland, Rihanna Rinkin, Jayla Reed, Saniya Stewart, Aalveyah Torrance, Aalvinee Torrance, and Khloe Words.
Also, thank you to our dedicated coaching team: Darrion Allen, Skylar Boogerd, Zach Emptage, Pamela Haley, Kris Harman, Mirrakohl Johnson, TaNia Moore, Jaja Nebo, and Marvin Stewart.
Lastly, we also celebrated three long-serving leaders whose impact spans decades: James Aldinger, Chief of Human Resources and Federal Programs; Teresa Winter, Chief Financial Officer; and Marva Johnson, Principal of Altruria Elementary. All three have been with BCS since its inception and leave behind a legacy of dedication and service to our students, staff, and community.

We are proud to share that Superintendent Dr. David Stephens was recently honored with the Wolf River Good Scout Award at the 2025 Bartlett Good Scout Award Dinner, hosted by the Chickasaw Council. This recognition celebrates Dr. Stephens’ leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to the youth and families of Bartlett.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, June 24, at Saint Ann Catholic Church and School and was a great reminder of the positive impact Scouting continues to have in our community.
A special thank you to Ryan McDonald for serving as the Master of Ceremonies and David Pickler for offering a heartfelt tribute as he introduced Dr. Stephens before the award presentation.
We are grateful this partnership and proud to see Dr. Stephens recognized as Bartlett’s 2025 Good Scout of the Year. His dedication reflects the very values Scouting instills in future leaders.

We are thrilled to welcome our newest team members to Bartlett City Schools!
Beginning this week, we hosted our first class of our New Hire Orientation, where new staff were welcomed by Superintendent Stephens and introduced to our district’s mission, culture, and so many amazing people that make BCS so special.
Helping us roll out the red carpet were five incredible Bartlett High School seniors: Ethan Gatewood, Sydney Thompson, Marlon Dechausay, Jaiden Wallace, and Maggie Morris. These student leaders gave tours, shared what they love most about being part of BCS, and offered a warm welcome to our Bartlett family!
A special thank you to our Human Resources Department for creating such a meaningful and engaging experience. From the food and apparel to the gift bags and prizes, your thoughtful planning ensured every new employee felt valued and celebrated from day one.

Lilian Brock- Outstanding Featured Dancer
Alyssa McNinch- Outstanding Lead Actress
Alyssa will go on to compete at the Jimmy Awards this June in New York at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. Alyssa is the first BCS student to compete at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards.
