Second generation ECS students, and they’ve got the jackets to prove it! Freshmen students Eleanor Hays and Adelyn Fisher wore their dads’ ECS lettermen’s jackets to school today in honor of Homecoming! Eleanor’s dad is Ryan Hays (‘99), and Adelyn’s dad is Adam Fisher (‘02).

There’s no better start to our day than to share with all of Memphis our fun ECS Homecoming traditions! Thanks to Ruben Diaz from ABC24 Memphis for coming out to our campus to feature many of our ECS Eagles on ABC This Morning show today.
Our cheerleaders and Champ, the mascot, led us in a cheer and showed lots of school spirit!
Then Head Coach Blake Butler was joined by Steve Heinz of our 1983 football state championship team, whom we are honoring tonight during halftime. They shared about our winning tradition at ECS, tied with MUS for the most (FIVE) football championships in the city! Many of ECS’s football and baseball state titles were coached by Steve’s father and the late Hall of Fame Coach Jim Heinz, who was also honored on the broadcast.
And of course, Homecoming is not complete without our kindergarten clowns who are ready for the parade tonight! New Head of School Scott Hauss shared about this tradition now in its 43rd year!
Finally, Student Leadership Council prefects Ashlee Adams and Kyle Mabie shared many ways ECS students can become involved in campus life.
Especially at Homecoming, IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE AN ECS EAGLE!

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN! Dads, join us as Harvest Lead Pastor and ECS parent Kennon Vaughan shares on "An Unexpected Reset: The Way a Plane Crash Shaped Our Perspective on Parenting."
We live in a day in which fear can easily drive our parenting decisions, and cultural idols are infringing on our family time and values. Dr. Vaughan will speak honestly about these realities, and how we can combat them with gospel-driven parenting. Since surviving a plane crash in 2023, Dr. Vaughan's perspective on parenting shifted. Join us as he shares about the critical importance and strategic intentionality of staying connected to our kids' hearts as they go through each season of life, so that when we launch them at 18, we have divested "control" for "influence."
Register today for the Dads Discipleship lunch at ecseagles.com/discipleship/family-discipleship.
