In order to ensure our success, we are asking for your support. We are asking at least 10 Cherokee family and friends to attend our tour day on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. All in attendance will have the opportunity to win prizes! In addition, the school with the highest percentage of attendees will receive a free breakfast or lunch for their staff during In-Service Week. To demonstrate our school's spirit, teams are encouraged to wear school shirts and/or colors. We look forward to seeing you and/or members of your team there!

Attention Cherokee Family,

Please attend the Spring Family Data Night on Thursday, March 31, 2022. This is an important meeting about student assessment data and resources to help you support your child. We will provide information on student progress with various assessments, guidance on how to read data reports, and recommendations on how to assist students. You will also have an opportunity to provide input on the School Compact and the Family Engagement documents.

Our Virtual Meeting will take place on March 31 at 4:30 pm.

The In-Person meeting is on March 31st at 4:30 pm in the CES Cafeteria.

We are so happy to announce the partnership between SCS, TN DOE, and Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare to provide BookNook virtual literacy tutoring this year. We are excited to share that another cohort of students can now register to participate in this powerful program!

Registration for the 4th cohort of students (K-3rd) opens on February 18! [Click here for more details] Families will go through a streamlined BookNook and TN DOE registration process to sign up their students for tutoring and select their tutoring schedules. Registration will end on March 11, 2022 - space is limited!

These students will start their tutoring program in March. Please register as soon as possible to ensure the widest possible reach to this literacy support!

School will resume tomorrow. Doors open at 8:00 am

Homework Hotline Help

The Homework Hotline is open Monday-Thursday from 4-8pm. Students can get homework help and/or tutoring from certified teachers at no cost to their families. The phone number is (901)416-1234 or families may visit online at www.homeworkhotline.info.
