Double Tree Optional Elementary School

October 31st Double Tree Elementary will be having a trunk or treat. If you would like to decorate your vehicle for the trunk or treat rsvp with Ms.Norman. The car with the best decorated trunk will receive a prize. Door prizes will be given out to the top three costume winners.

Parents and guardians we are asking for your help by donating a bag of candy for the trunk or treat. We will be taking up donations all October.

Dolphins tomorrow is the last day to purchase your dolphin gear.

This week we are putting the community spotlight on our educators. Today we shine a light on: Principal Jacqueline Brown-Lewis.

Mrs. Jacqueline Brown-Lewis is the newly appointed principal at Double Tree Optional Elementary School

She is a native Memphian and graduate of Whitehaven High school. Mrs. Brown-Lewis attended LeMoyne-Owen College where she earned a degree in Mathematics before continuing to obtain a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Special Education from the University of Memphis.

She also received an Administrative Leadership degree from Bethel University. This school year will mark her 15th year in public education with Memphis-Shelby County Schools. She believes that Double Tree is a pillar in the heart of Westwood that creates
G.E.Ms: Gifted Scholars, Educated by the best teachers and staff, On a Mission towards Mastery.

Champ's Barbeque Smoked pulled Turkey meat over a bed of Tortilla Chips with a layer of nacho cheese, a drizzle of BBQ sauce, another layer of nacho cheese, jalapeno peppers, with a sprinkle of Champ’s All-Purpose Seasoning.
