The IT Support Specialist position is currently open in the Silver Spring office. HIAS is a non-profit organization.
Wasn't able to make a quick comment on one of the last questions asked by an attendee yesterday due to time constraints, but wanted to post resources and comment here.
An attendee asked the recruiters yesterday if employers can ask your DOB and other questions (she mentioned towards the end of an application). What wasn't mentioned and attendee did not clarify, those could have been EEOC questions which are "optional" and are stated on applications.
A follow up comment was that employers "can" ask that question. I highly recommend the following sites. Every job seeker should go to SHRM's site. Here a a couple of links: One from SHRM, the other from a seasoned HR professional that does a weekly column on "The Balance."

Getting hired in DC takes longer than any other city, new survey says
news recently reported that it's taking longer to get hired in , than in any other city (Clabaugh, 2017). The report continues to state that according to the survey, the average time for job seekers can range from 32.2 days to 53.8 days depending on whether the candidates are seeking employment in the private sector or with the federal government agencies.
