Last week, E.B. Reyna Elementary CIS students learned how to cope with stress. They worked on stress balls that are simple and fun to create, yet helpful in releasing tension.

CIS Site Manager Brittany Valdez along with UTRGV interns partnered with Guzman Elementary of Donna ISD to provide Pre K and Kinder students with a ballet class. The ballet classes provided the students with a sense of accomplishment, responsibility, and social/emotional awareness while in a fun environment.
CIS Site Manager Martiza Adame from Juan N. Seguin Elementary collaborated with Mr. Santiago Baldazo from Child Fund and they were able to donate 10 Christmas gifts for a gingerbread contest and 10 backpacks with school supplies. CIS is very grateful and thankful to receive gifts and backpacks for the CIS students at Seguin.
