'Old and new faces' at Lincoln Fire Protection District's annual pancake breakfast Seeing an attendance increase from past years, the Lincoln Fire Protection District hosted its 40th annual Lincoln Fire Pancake and Sausage Day.

We hope you will join us tomorrow for the 40th Annual Pancake & Sausage Day from 6AM-6PM in Charleston at 371 W Coolidge Ave! We are excited to offer dine-in again which means it is ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT so make sure you come hungry. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at the door. We have some bulk sausage available as well if you want to take some to cook at home. Thank you for your continued support!

The Coles County Burn Ban remains in effect today, outdoor burning is prohibited due to the increased fire danger. The ban will remain in effect until significant rain is received, which is currently forecasted to happen on Tuesday.

🎗️We have some very exciting news to announce!🎗️

Delaware and Sherwood Fire Departments have came together and created a brand new campaign called “Hero’s for Hope” which is being spearheaded by FF/EMT Tyler Adams. Both departments have noticed an incredible increase in su***de and mental health calls this past year and Tyler felt the call to do so much more than his EMS duties. Hero’s for Hope is a NEW and the ONLY program in Defiance County where First Responders spread su***de awareness and prevention around the county.

*Please note, we are not trained or licensed therapists, counselors or mental health providers. We are a team that will provide SUPPORT and a bridge to contact professionals if the need arises. *

Tyler and his Hero’s for Hope committee officially launched this morning with a week long campaign in order to raise funds to get this ball rolling! Delaware and Sherwood Fire Departments will be selling Hero’s for Hope T-Shirts with a order deadline of October 22nd. (A copy of the order form is included in the comments of you wish to print it off)

Feedback time. What did you love and what do you think we should work on for Fall Fest 2023? We are already thinking about next year. Can't wait to see everyone again.

Without these wonderfull sponsors there is no way we could have made today happen. We also have to thank Tom Denning at Denning Auto for bringing us a car and letting us use his tow truck. And Lakeland Cheer for hanging out and all the great facepainting. Today was definatly a team effort.
