Another guitar setup, this one a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar for one of my guitar students.
Changed the strings, leveled, cleaned, and polished the frets, minor adjustment to the action, and minor adjustments to the intonation. Needed strap buttons replaced as well.
Looks and sounds great!

General maintenance and setup for an electric guitar.
If you play an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, ukulele… pretty much, anything with strings and frets, getting the most out of your instrument requires regular care.
Guitar setups are like getting oil changes for your vehicle. If you don’t get regular setups, you may start noticing your guitar doesn’t sound as good as it used to.
For people local to me in the southern Massachusetts area, I offer guitar general maintenance, setups and repair so they continue to sound and feel awesome!

Hey guitar players! Are you up for a challenge? Here's a fun one to try.
Pick a song that you've always wanted to learn but have never gotten around to. It could be in a different style of music, or just something that seems particularly challenging. Then, set a goal for yourself to have the song mastered within a certain time frame - maybe a week, or a month.
Not only will this give you a specific goal to work towards, but it will also push you out of your comfort zone and help you improve as a player. And once you've successfully mastered the song, you can feel proud of your accomplishment and share it with others.
So why not give it a shot? Pick a song and set a goal, then get to work. And don't forget to have fun and enjoy the process! Feel free to share your plan or post your progress here.
