We had a great turnout for our Hornet Hustle run/walk yesterday at Lincoln Park. Over $5,000 was raised towards new bleachers for our gym! Thank you to everyone who participated, and to those who planned and coordinated the event. We praise God for His blessings to us!
Get to know Pastor Zimpelmann, our new pastor, a little better....check out the "More Local News" section of the HTR article below.
htrnews.com Plus, Immanuel Lutheran Church has welcomed a new pastor, Two Rivers Senior Center plans activities, and property taxes are due Oct. 1.
We rejoice that our new pastor, Matt Zimpelmann, will be installed as our shepherd during a special service Sunday (tomorrow) afternoon. The service will be recorded and posted here on our page for viewing by 5pm tomorrow. (Because of limits due to social distancing, the congregation as a whole will not be able to attend the service.) Pastor Zimpelmann will be introduced to the congregation at our 8am and 10:30am services tomorrow morning. Please join us in asking the Lord's blessings on Pastor Zimpelmann, his family, and his ministry among us here at Immanuel!
Preschool is off to a great start. 😊
[09/11/20] The Zimpelmann family's moving truck won’t get to Manitowoc until after 5 PM tonight since it was delayed because of the snow out west. Therefore we decided to have people come to help them move in at 10 AM tomorrow -- Saturday, September 12th. We look forward to greeting Pastor Zimpelmann and his family tomorrow and helping them move in. They have had a challenging journey to get here with the weather out west earlier this week.

We have had a fantastic beginning of the new school year. What a blessing it is to be back to in-person learning! Just look at how excited the students are to be back in school with their friends even if they are wearing masks and social distancing.
God's blessings to all of our students, their families, our faculty, and our staff on the new school year. As always, "We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight!"

Please join us this Sunday in-person at 8am and 10:30am and online at 10:30am or later as we welcome the music ministry of Mr. Chris Driesbach to our worship services this weekend. Chris will be sharing his original Christian music with us, as he also loves to tell the story of the Spirit’s powerful work in his stubborn and unbelieving heart.
Our services this weekend will answer the question “How Can Creation Be True?” In addition, Chris will offer a concert of his music between our Sunday services. Please join us and invite others as well!

Our college students will soon be starting a new semester, so it's time to get contact info for all our members who are in college or technical school. Immanuel's College Ministry program is ready to offer support and contact for our members who are away at college, while helping to connect them to their local WELS campus ministry or church. Parents or students, please email the student's name, address at school, cell phone #, email address, start date of classes, as well as name of school, major, and expected graduation date to [email protected], even if we already had this information from last year. Thank you!
We are excited to welcome our new pastor and his family: Matt and Gina Zimpelmann, and their three kids, Michael, Lily, and Emma. Pastor Zimpelmann and his family plan to arrive in Manitowoc the week of Labor Day from their current home in Boise, Idaho. His installation service is planned for September 20th. Pastor Zimpelmann's call acceptance letter can be found on our website (www.ilutheran.org/call-letters). We praise God for His abundant goodness to us. Please keep the congregation of Cross of Christ in Boise in your prayers as they now seek the Lord's direction in their future ministry and pastoral staffing.
In preparation for the Zimpelmanns' arrival, we will be cleaning the parsonage on Saturday, Aug. 29th at 8 AM. Immanuel members, please bring your own cleaning supplies. We will be dusting, vacuuming, cleaning floors, surfaces and windows.
The gym remodeling is moving along nicely. The old sound panels have been removed. The walls were repainted and new sound panels were installed. This past week, the floor was sanded and repainted. The last item to be completed in Phase I is the new sound system which will be installed in a couple of weeks. The Lord is good!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who have been working behind the scenes to get it done. It looks fantastic!
