Are you turning to food for stress or emotional comfort?

It's not your fault.
It's your brain.

There is a trigger that occurs and your brain tries to "fix" the discomfort you feel by distracting you and causing you to look to food for comfort.

Your brain doesn't care if this behavior is beneficial to your body or your goals, it just wants you to feel better in that moment.

The next time you witness this happening, can you take a moment, pause and see it for what it truly is = deceptive brain messages...

And look to an alternative that could be more beneficial to your wellbeing?

Here are some example: Moving your body. Talking with a friend. Journaling. Meditating.

Once you know & understand that, you will be able to stop putting off the small changes that add up to something HUGE & start TODAY. Go to bed earlier tonight. Drink an extra glass of water this afternoon. Grab a veggie instead of a processed snack.

Stop putting it off until tomorrow.

I can't afford all the things required to get healthy.

Have you said this before?

Eating healthy is "expensive."
Gym memberships cost extra money you don't have.

This is an excuse that you need to toss aside.

There are things you can do that will make a large impact on your health that don't cost any money.

Drinking more water.
Getting more sleep.
Moving your body.

You do not need a gym membership to move your body. Get out for a walk. Do yoga in your home. Find simple workout videos online.

These simple things added into your routine can have a large impact!

Let's talk about your MINDSET today.

This is a problem that most of my clients have & it's honestly the most important piece of the puzzle. You must be strong mentally, have grit & determination, in order to succeed long-term on your wellness journey.

There will be resistance that will challenge you along the way & you need to prove to yourself & your mind, how bad you want it. It is so much easier to just give up & go back to old habits.

Those old habits got you to where you are today, unhappy, exhausted, muffin hanging over your pants & that is what we are trying to change.

We must start with the mindset, strengthen it, shift it, so you can find success.

Instead of focusing on the need to find an external source of inspiration or motivation, could you decide to do one thing better?

We don't eat clean 100% of the time.
We struggle.
We are real humans with real emotions.

But we've been there and we have learned from it.

Many "diet programs" or "food delivery" options promise results. Honestly, any program can have results in the short-term. The real issue is the long game. Change must begin with the acknowledgement that the present circumstances no longer serve you. Our minds are powerful. So much so that what we focus on, we achieve. It can be difficult to visualize better and focus on positives when in the past, that was not what you had known.
