The problem with too many of us Christians is that we think we are dealing with "personalities" when in truth we are dealing with "principalities". One of my greatest lessons of 2016 is to learn to see the unseen. You aren't fighting people. You are fighting their journey. Their backstory. Their arid spirits: Anger. Brokenness. Resentment. Pain. Envy. Jealousy. Soul ties. Sexual abuse. Fear. Assault. Violence. Covetousness. When you grasp this TRUTH all that you are dealing with or have been through makes sense. It ain't people you need to fear. It's what's going on in them that we can't see that causes the problems we must then deal with. Pay attention. It's the principalities dwelling in them that you have to recognize first. And then decide if you want to flee or fight.

SAVE THE DATE: Annual Licata Lecture: “Friendship, Faith, and War” Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 6 – 7 p.m. PST
Speaker
Dr. Joseph Loconte, PhD, is an associate professor of history at The King’s College in New York City, where he teaches Western Civilization and American foreign policy.
Details:
The intersection of art, faith, and bloody conflict stand two men – two friends: C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Drawing on his new book, A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War, historian Dr. Joe Loconte will tell the incredible, true story of two artists, whose works were shaped by war, faith, and friendship. It is difficult to think of two Christian artists who have had a greater impact on our culture than Lewis and Tolkien, and in this year’s Licata Lecture, Professor Loconte will delve into the roles their faith and the experience in war played in creation of their literature.
In preparation for the FIRST DEBATE SERIES:
In Progress:
1. Debate topics SELECTED
2. The first debate panel TO BE SELECTED

Blake's spirited speech left astounding impact on the attendees: "Don't burry the investment that God has made in you. Do your part in the city. If the terrorists can die for what they believe in, lets live for what we believe. Jesus has done so much for us not to be productive. Lets leave the world richer than we found it." The Pepperdine Wave, Mr. Keith Hinckle (check picture), concluded the event with a benediction. February 13, 2016 was inaugurated as the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in Los Angeles.
