Ridgeview's most wanted 🐇🐇🐇 These guys chomped our garden pretty good last week. Not looking like there will be much of a yield at this rate. They seem to prefer strawberries, tomatoes, peppers and honeydew 🙄 Our barrier is doing a great job keeping the deer out, not so much the rabbits. Do we pull and re-plant something this late in the summer? I'm afraid it'll just be rabbit food at this point. Any suggestions to have something for the students when they return or regroup and put a bettet barrier in place for next time 🍓🍅🌶

We were able to help put up and take down flags today honoring those who died while serving our great country. Thank you Tom, Devin, and Gabie for joining alongside members of the Gold Nugget Days, Inc., Gold Nugget Museums Don, Colleen, Mark, Zack and so many others from our community. With the help of Hailey and her team from Butte County Local Food Network students were able to get some veggie starts planted into our school garden. Cambria and Ruth from California Climate Action Corps dropped in to help us make seed bombs🍉🌽🍓🫛🌶

Helping this past week with Keith, David, Claire, and Nigel beautifying and placing flags at some of our local pioneer cemeteries in Magalia to remember and honor those who sacrificed 🇺🇲

Rain or shine hike with the Ridge Hiking Association and a visit to Lake Oroville Dam and the visitors center

Earlier this month we were able to build and transport 44 raised garden beds for Pamm Larry's Butte County Local Food Network Garden Blitz so that people on the Ridge could begin growing their own food 🍅🫛🍓🫑🌶 Shout out to our students, Ken and his boys Drew and Seth Integrity Paradise, Bill at Hands On Tools Mobile Construction Training, Joe Abeyta BIG truck, his good boy Miles 🐾 and all the other amazing volunteers who made this happen.Thank you 🙏

Over Presidents' Day weekend Ridgeview students were able to join Karen, Jared, Pamela and many others from Altacal Audubon Society on a birding adventure. Our group was able to identify 31 different birds in just a couple hours! Check out the Merlin app if you haven't already, it's a game changer 🌥🦅🌧🐦⛈️
