Commemorating MLK Day by giving back to our community. The power of service unites us all. Thanks to our students and staff for joining us to volunteer at Lubbock Impact!

MLK Day of Service - Lubbock 01/08/2024

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 15, 2024, marks the 30th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

Please join the Office of Student Life as they celebrate MLK Day of Service by volunteering at Lubbock Impact. We will be working in their Clothes Closet, organizing, sorting, tagging, and hanging donated clothing, and assisting with other needs as needed.
