When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

We're happy to support by providing them continuous opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this Professional Development Day to life, from schools and Franchise Owners to our guest speaker and the amazing teachers who help build a brighter future for every student.

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

Help us congratulate the Apple of Our Eye for June, Miss Lexi! Miss Lexi is our jack-of-all-trades teacher, she is just as content with the babies as she is in Pre-K. She approaches each day with joy, you will always see a smile on her face and we just love her so much!

Are y’all ready for our every-Friday-in-summer dress up days? Because we are! Starting off with what might be the cutest; twin day!

Every day at is full of exciting new experiences. So far this month we have made puppets complete with a puppet show, crafted the perfect paper airplane, created our own comic book, and designed our own super heroes!

Meet our family of the month for June, The Pachecos! Hope and Bryan along with their precious girl started with us in the Infant room and have been a great addition to our Primrose family. It has been a joy to watch their kiddo grow up and turn into the spunky girl she is now! Read more about them below.

Meet the Pacheco family: Bryan, Hope, and our little explorer, Memphis! We’re just your average crew, juggling work, play, and lots of cuddles.
Bryan is an IT Director and performs regularly around town playing music, while Hope keeps people moving as a Physical Therapist Assistant and enjoys running any chance she gets. And Memphis? Well, she’s our tiny tornado of curiosity and giggles.
At home, we make sure Memphis has a blast while she learns and grows. Primrose has been a great fit for her, with activities that keep her growing and friends who keep her company.
With plenty of giggles and cuddles, we’re all about making memories and cheering Memphis on as she explores the world around her!

While this wasn’t the Spring Fling we had planned (thanks to the West Texas weather) we still had a BLAST drinking lemonade, playing games, and raising money for UMC Children's Hospital. Combined with ticket sales, a basket auction, and donations we raised $3,500!

They’re moving on up 🥹 This weekend we celebrated our Pre-K and Kindergarten graduating class of 2024. We are so proud of all they accomplished this year and have no doubt in our minds that they are ready for their next adventure ❤️

Meet our Family of the Month for May, the Bells! Melissa and Chris along with their precious little girl have been with us for two and a half years. They are the sweetest family (grandma included) and we love having them as a part of our Primrose family! Read more about them below.

We are the Bell Family! Chris is a Lubbock native, and Melissa grew up in Plainview. We are both Texas Tech grads and we love our Red Raiders. We met while working at the same hospital. Chris works for Lubbock County as a Network Administrator in the IT department. Melissa got her Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and works for Lighthouse Lab Services as a Laboratory Director and Supervisor of Quality.

Saylor was born in February of 2021 and is our miracle. She keeps us on our toes and we are in constant awe of her. We have been with Primrose since Saylor was 11 months old and it has been the best decision that we have made. Saylor loves all animals, being outside, her family, and the movie SING! Saylor has learned so much while at Primrose, and we are thankful for the education, and most importantly the teachers who have taken the time to invest in her.
