Our preschool class is exploring and creating with loose parts. Loose parts are open-ended materials that have infinite possibilities to a young mind. Loose parts play offers numerous developmental benefits for children, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills. It encourages open-ended exploration, allowing children to use their imagination and adapt materials to their own ideas. This type of play also promotes physical development, cognitive growth, and enhanced communication skills.

Speed and Slime, our friends in the Twos class, are going to be parents! The children eagerly check the eggs everyday to see if they have hatched. Keeping a living thing in the classroom teaches them how to care for their environment and community. Even very young children enjoy feeling of being helpful and needed. Opportunities to serve and work at home and at the center build their self-confidence and resilience, preparing them for greater responsibility and leadership in the future.
