Beta Tau Alpha Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society It is the largest honor society in American higher education.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for 2-year colleges recognized as the official honor society for community colleges by the American Association of Community Colleges. The Beta Tau Alpha Chapter was chartered at LBCC December 3, 2010. Students must have completed 12 units of associate degree directed courework with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.500 to qualify for membership.

Congratulations to PTK officer Clement Gibson who received a full-tuition scholarship to Jackson State University in Mississippi. Clem is the first person in his family to attend college, and he graduated with a 3.5 GPA while working two jobs and being actively involved in PTK, DAAP, and the Umoja Scholars Program. So proud of you, Clem!
