Hello everyone! quick reminder that we will not be having a meeting today seeing as how we are done with our meetings this semester. Best of luck on finals! Take care :-)
Here is a photo of our board members with the incredibly fabulous Dr. Lindsey Doe! A big thank you to all of our volunteers and participants for making Self Love Week as amazing and fun as it was! URGE will be having its last meeting of the semester this Wed 4/22/15 at our usual time and place (3:30-4:30 pm USU 306). We have a few last announcements to make so try to make it if you can. We hope to see you soon!
They got our organization name wrong multiple times but it's still worth the read! Our ma********on workshop had a good turn out and a lot of positive reactions so I'm glad the school paper decided to cover our event.

Please join us in hosting Dr. Lindsey Doe, clinical sexologist at CSULB today from 6-7:30 PM! She will be doing a presentation about Body Image! Our very helpful honorary club members!
Have you seen our chalk board messages for Self Love Week in the USU restrooms? Our first event is tomorrow!
Hello everyone! We met up today across from the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) people set up in front of the bookstore. The GAP is invited to our campus every year and displays anti-choice images that are triggering and offensive. We understand that these images make a lot of students uncomfortable and angry, which is why they will try to reason with them. However it is very important for people to NOT ENGAGE with this group because they are infamous for instigating conflict as well as suing students if they vandalize their displays. Please help us and attend our counter presence again tomorrow to help convince students to walk away and not engage with these people. We will be there from 10 AM to roughly 5 PM when they pack up. We can provide posters to you :-)
Also a reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow (4/8/15) at our usual time and place (3:30-4:30 PM USU 306). We will be doing a run through of our female ma********on workshop and we would like your feedback so you won't want to miss it! Thanks so much. Hope to see you soon!
The moment is finally almost here everyone! Please join us next week for a celebration of YOU! We will have events from April 14th-16th. We are especially excited to host Dr. Lindsey Doe for her presentation on body image. She is best known for her Sexplanations videos on Youtube, which we love :-) We really hope to see everyone there! Please spread the word.
Just posting on here to remind you all that we have a meeting tomorrow (3/25/15) and that we will be working on our picture backdrop for Self Love Week. Just a fair warning since we will be using paints: you might want to wear something you don't mind getting paint on. We still don't know what we are painting so please bring in some suggestions. We would love to get your input :-)
Also another friendly reminder that there are still three spots available for URGE's Reproductive Freedom Day in Sacramento so if any of you were thinking about taking the opportunity please let us know as soon as possible. Thank you all! See you tomorrow!
Just a quick reminder that we will be having our meeting this week on Wed. March 11, 2015! Usual time and place, 3:30-4:30 PM in USU 306.

If you want to get a head start before Wednesday's meeting, join us in the library this Sunday (2/8/15) at 12:30 PM where we will be making paper flowers to hand out and promote self love on campus before Valentine's Day. We will be tabling and handing these out that following Wednesday (2/11/15, same day as our meeting) from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM in front of the library. We would love it if you guys stopped by the table even if it's just to say hi. If you would like more information or to get involved with either of these events, please let us know. Have a great weekend everyone! We hope to see you soon!
Happy Monday URGE Members!
This week at our regular meeting time and place, Alejandro Huerta from California Family Health Council will be giving a lecture on SB 138. This Senate Bill will close loopholes that affect the privacy of individuals who are on another person's health insurance.
The presentation promises to be engaging and informative, and is relevant to those of us still on our parent's insurance. We hope that you all can make it! This is a very special opportunity that we look forward to!
ATTENTION URGE MEMBERS:
Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 11th, we will not be having our usual meeting! We will resume a week from tomorrow, same place same time.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
