DIVERSITY RESOURCE FAIR

We need volunteers for many different positions: help organize, reach out to prospective community partners, set up, work the event and clean up.

SNACK DONATIONS NEEDED!

Our students in grades 3-5 will begin SBAC testing April 24th. If you are able to donate snacks for our scholars (fish crackers, cheese sticks, granola bars, mini water bottles, fruit, etc), please send them to the office. Our scholars will be testing for 3 straight weeks.

Community Event!

Hey, Roadrunners! The in-person Scholastic Book Fair may be over, but you can still shop online until April 16th!

Kids Books, Books for Children | The Scholastic Parent Store Shop our collection of new, classic and award-winning books for boys and girls of all ages (from Preschool to 12th grade).

The Scholastic Book fair is going strong! We're adjusting the schedule slightly, FYI. Tomorrow (Wednesday), it will be open from 2pm - 3pm and on Thursday it will be open from 2:30pm - 4pm. Thanks!

Our Los Cerritos Elementary community is wonderful! The PTA shared a flyer for Bethune a week ago and people are stepping up to make a difference for our homeless families in the LBUSD. One of our amazing parents decided to take this on as a service project for Ramadan and look at the amazing results! PLEASE, if you can, consider donating items using the Amazon Wishlist in the flyer. This directly helps homeless families with children in our LBUSD community.

We're all set up for the Scholastic Book Fair. Start shopping tomorrow before and after school. Please also let us know if you can volunteer. We need help to make this a big success!!

We still need Book Fair volunteers for before and after school and you DO NOT need to be a VIPS to participate. Please DM for the contact info. The shifts are 8:30 to 9:15 and after school until 4pm from March 31st to April 6th.

Book Fair starts THIS FRIDAY in the LIBRARY!!!

Field Day will be held on April 6th during the school day. Please make sure to sign and return the student permission slips that came home last week. Please DM if you are interested in volunteering. We need several volunteers to make this event run smoothly. You do not need to be VIPS certified. This will be a fun event for students and families!

REMINDER: The Los Cerritos Elementary Open House is tonight at 5pm - 6:30pm. Let's celebrate what the kids accomplished this year so far!

BOOK FAIR IS COMING MARCH 31st to APRIL 6th! We are looking for volunteers for this super fun opportunity to get involved. For students, this is one of the most anticipated events of the school year—and as a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to experience the Bookjoy firsthand!
Opportunities to assist include:
• Advertising
• Decorating
• Setting up the Fair
• Helping shoppers at the Fair
• Checkout
• Packing up the Fair

FIELD DAY April 6th - a fun-filled day enjoying activities at the park during the school day. 25 parent volunteers are needed for this big event!

MOVIE & CAMP OUT April 22nd - a movie screening and overnight camp-out on school campus. Opportunities in the evening and to help make breakfast.

LOS CERRITOS DIVERSITY COMMUNITY FAIR May 20th - a community event with vendors and fun for the kiddos!
