Please join us on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 1:50 p.m. for the 4th grade recorder concert. The students have been practicing very hard with Mrs. Cook and sound amazing. Please come out and support them!

Two of our amazing teachers, Mrs. Rhode and Mrs. Sahlin, were recently recognized by the Arkansas Department of Education for becoming National Board Certified. We are all very proud of them and their hard work!

[04/18/19]   All PCSSD schools will be closed today, Thursday, April 18th due to flooding around the district. This is considered an AMI day. School will also be closed Friday, April 19th for students and professional development for staff.

The last ACT Aspire test that was scheduled for today will be taken on Tuesday, April 23rd!

Lawson Elementary will be taking a school wide field trip on Friday, April 26th to BoBrook Farms. All students Kindergarten - 5th grade are invited. The cost is $7 per child and $7 per adult. If you would like to volunteer at a booth, please sign up at:

No Kid Hungry teamed up with LAWSON ELEMENTARY for a #BooksandBreakfastAR event. THV11's Craig O'Neill even stopped by for a visit and reading of Horton Hears a Who!

Breakfast in the Classroom visited LAWSON ELEMENTARY to talk to Principal Mellor and students about how the program has helped fuel students' brains and tummies!
