The FAA has issued more than 100,000 Remote Pilot Certificates to fly commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). If you have earned your certificate when it was first available in August of 2017, you're required to take recurrent training every 24 calendar months. Make sure you get your recurrent training completed in time.

WI******ER REGIONAL AIRPORT (KOKV) RUNWAY MAINTENANCE PROJECT - BEGINING ON MONDAY, JULY 23RD 2018 AND RUNNING THROUGH SATURDAY, JULY 28TH 2018, RUNWAY 14-32 WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC EFFECTIVE JULY 23RD 2018 AT 0900 LOCAL TIME AND WILL REOPEN JULY 28TH. PLEASE CHECK NOTAMS FOR THE MOST CURRENT RUNWAY STATUS.

The project will be conducted in two phases; the first is anticipated to take one week and require a full closure for surface work, the second phase will occur several weeks later involving sealing and repainting of the surface. Updates will be provided with dates and times for the second phase.
All efforts have made to keep the impact to a minimum, unfortunately this project is necessary to maintain the surface of the runway and repaint the surface once sealed.
