Parents, imagine if your 3rd grade child was embarrassed in front of his/her whole class by being the only child to fail the SOL. This is what happened to my child's friend in Principal Tracy Stephens' Seldens Landing Elementary School this past year. It's a FERPA (student privacy) violation and it's all too common in LCPS. what's more is that the principal and school board have taken no action to prevent it from happening again. In fact, when I asked Ms. Stephens about her SOL/student privacy policy in a PTA meeting, she informed me I could not longer attend any PTA meetings or even my child's public school activities.
