We’d like to thank our students, families, teachers and leadership for their hard work during this year’s Og’s Bountiful Book Drive! With their help, we donated a total of 384 books to the Loudoun Literacy Council. Thank you to our PreK and K students that helped us count them!

February is Ogs Bountiful Book Drive Month! We’ll be collecting new or gently used books until February 28th to donate to the Loudoun Literacy Council. All donations are greatly appreciated!

Today at Primrose School of Leesburg, our Preschool Classes had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather! One of the things we love about our Balanced Learning Curriculum is how it includes activities like "Thumbs Up," which helps children develop their gross motor skills while having fun outdoors!

What a fun-filled Friday at Primrose! Today was National Preschool Fitness Day, so we got moving with some extra exercises and even voted on whether we’ll have 6 more weeks of winter or if spring is just around the corner!

Character development is a part of daily activities in Primrose schools. Teachers use the Primrose Friends to teach traits like bravery, kindness and fairness through stories and play. Students also learn about important figures including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., read books in his honor, make bravery badges and discuss courage. 🌟📚 Share this post to join us in spreading the message of courage and kindness!

Today, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we’re celebrating bravery. Through discussions, books like “I Am Brave” by Brad Meltzer, making bravery badges and more, we’re helping our students learn the importance of courage and the ways — both big and small — that we can all be brave.

Primrose students get to experience a learning journey crafted just for them. With our exclusive Balanced Learning® curriculum, we focus on introducing the right learning experiences at the right time. This helps your little one be ready for their next big milestone – kindergarten!​

Today our Preschool 1 and Preschool 2 classes learned about a new artist named Paul Klee. They noticed how lines in art can remind us of motion and used glue and yarn to create various shaped lines.

For Happy Hearts, our Kindergarten Class discussed why it sometimes feels hard to keep our promises! We reread “Billy and The Grandmas and Grandpas” and then we worked in groups to make a mural about what keeping promises means to us!

While it may be too cold and snowy to go outside, our teachers in our Toddler and Early Preschool classrooms brought the snow inside for some exploration!❄⛄

Primrose schools across the country collected over 385,000 canned goods and raised more than $58,000 for those in need during this year's Food Drive! ❤️​

The joy of giving is reflected in our Primrose Promise Giving Events, where students, families, teachers, staff, Franchise Owners and Support Team members make a positive difference their communities through service projects. ​

​As a part of our annual Food Drive, we participated in the 11Alive Can-A-Thon by donating more than 21,000 cans to the The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta. We are so proud of everybody who gave without expectation and supported those in need this holiday season!

As part of the Primrose Schools Mud Pies® program, students learn about agriculture as they plant, grow and harvest nutritional fruits and vegetables in the Primrose Patch. ​

​Understanding where our food comes from is an important part of our health, history and culture. Did you know pumpkins are native to North America and were first cultivated by Indigenous People, along with corn, beans, cranberries and various other foods? Indigenous People in the Americas are to thank for many of the foods we grow and enjoy today. ​

Children do best when they understand what they can and cannot do. Ensure you are clear with what is being asked of them and look for moments to praise their positive behavior. ​

Gratitude is one of the many positive character traits that children learn in Primrose classrooms. See how you can help foster gratitude in your little one right at home:​

​🎁 Teach Gratitude Through Gift-Giving: Putting a reasonable limit on gift-giving during birthdays and holidays can help your child better understand the value of each present they receive.​

​🤗 Demonstrate Gratitude: Model this important trait for your little one by showing appreciation for others, always saying “please” and “thank you” and having a positive attitude.​

​🗣️Provide Prompts: Gently remind your child to say "Please"​ and "Thank you" to build this important habit.​

​❤️ Create a gratitude ritual: Have each family member share one thing they’re grateful for every evening before dinner, write “I Care” cards together, or volunteer as a family.​
