TEP was established in 1996 with the major focus of socializing students to normative standards in terms of interpersonal skills with peers and adults, to teach classroom behaviors that promote learning, and to encourage problem solving skills that eschew violent and aggressive strategies. TEP uses proactive strategies to decrease the incidence and prevalence of antisocial behaviors by utilizing social skills instruction, academic remediation, counseling and behavioral interventions.
