The Ketchikan Youth Court Board of Directors is pleased announce its selection of Austin Otos as the new KYC Executive Director. Austin began with youth court as a volunteer when he was in just 6th grade! He worked for KYC as a youth assistant while in high school, and stepped away from KYC long enough to get his Bachelor's Degree from UAA. Since returning to Ketchikan, he has worked with youth court as a youth coordinator. Youth Court is proud of its members and today is especially proud to have a chance to promote one of its own! Congrats, Austin!!
One of the most rewarding parts for adults involved in youth court is the opportunity to meet and work with fine young men like this guy. He’s a recent graduate of Kayhi, and will soon be off to college. He was one of this year’s very worthy KYC-sponsored Henry Keene Scholarship recipients, and is guaranteed to do great things! Congrats, Dametre!
With no 2020 Blueberry Festival, there is no Great Blueberry Ball Roll this year. It was to be the 22d annual ball roll for KYC, and this represents our largest fundraiser each year. But we’re undaunted, and we’ll be BACK next summer and ready to roll!
