And thank you families for taking the time to come meet with teachers- together we can do so much! We love seeing everyone back in the school!

Our Fawn Mountain Preschool Screening for the 2022-2023 school year will take place from Monday, April 4th - Friday, April 8th. If you are interested in your child participating, scan the QR Code below to complete the Preschool Screening Form. After your completed form has been submitted, a Preschool teacher will contact you to schedule a screening time.

The Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge, offered to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, s*x, age or disability. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the sites and times listed below:

Spring break for Ketchikan students will be extended an extra week following an emergency school board meeting Friday afternoon. The break will now end Sunday, March 29. During that time, superintendent Beth Lougee says staff will deep-clean school buildings and prepare for a possible move to remote learning. More tonight on the KRBD Evening Report at 5:35 p.m.

UPDATE: Gov. Mike Dunleavy announced Friday evening that all K-12 public schools in Alaska will be closed to children through March 30.
