Primrose School at Heritage

Rhett has been part of the Primrose family since March 2021 and to say it has been a blessing would be an understatement. Like most children, the idea of going to a strange place with new faces and friends was terrifying for Rhett having been raised during the pandemic. But, from day one, Primrose and all of its staff have made school feel like his second home. Every day, he’s excited to see his friends, his teachers, and all of the staff at Primrose. Every evening when we sit down for dinner and talk about his day, he reminds me of just how lucky we are to have a place like Primrose in our lives. We look forward to the continued support and development of Rhett until its time for big boy school and we can’t wait to continue to watch him learn and grow.

About us: Jon is employed by the department of Justice and Samantha is a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner at The Heart Hospital in Plano. In our free time, we enjoy time outdoors (when it’s not 100 degrees +). When not at school or work, you’ll find us spending time as a family out on our boat, the water park, or the swimming pool. Rhett loves to learn about construction sites and dinosaurs.

Hello, I’m Brewer. I’m 20 years old with a passion for art and kids. I’ve been a tattoo artist since 2019, and I started teaching at Primrose in January. Although I haven’t been teaching for long, I have thoroughly enjoyed helping mold all our littles into loving, compassionate, respectable humans. I’m a very go with the flow kind of person so in my spare time I enjoy reading, meditation and even yoga when baby shark isn’t playing in the background.

Summer has come to an end here at Primrose! Our students had so much fun this season with field trips, popsicles, splash days and so much more. We wrapped up the summer fun with a silent disco!

Once a year we join our sister schools for Staff Development Day. Coming together to learn from each other's experiences helps us all as we continue in our mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children. Thank you to Eric Cupp and Mecca Johnson our speakers today!

This week our students explored the animal world with a fun trip to SeaQuest Fort Worth and a visit from The Creature Teacher. We learned so much about lots of fascinating creatures!

Thank you to Ft Worth Fire Dept Station #37 for coming out today to discuss the importance of safety at home and school! We learned to “Get Out, and Stay Out”, and that a fire fighter’s suit isn’t scary at all. It was a great day for a fire truck tour and fire hose spray competition!

This week our Summer Adventure Club took a trip to AT&T Stadium, learned some sweet yoga moves, and had a fun field day. The theme this week is 'On the Ball', and our Explorers are loving it!

Hello, I’m Ms. Smith! I’ve been working in childcare for over 5 years now. I love getting to watch my kiddos reach milestones in the classroom. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, working on my tattoos, and lots of time at the gym.

Hailey and Jake have been attending Primrose since we moved to the Fort Worth area in August 2022. Moving our family, starting new jobs, and starting our kids in school has all been a big, crazy, and wonderful new adventure. I am amazed and overjoyed every day, seeing how Hailey and Jake are thriving. We are especially amazed of everything they both have learned since starting at Primrose. We are so proud of them.

Scott owns and operates a local business and Meredith is a PA and works for Cook Children’s. Hailey is 3 and the life of the party. She is so loving towards her little brother and is always looking out for him. Jake is 21 months and loves to laugh and play. They both love to swim and our precious family time.

Today we took our Summer Adventure Club on a wild learning adventure to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Our Summer Adventure Club and Pre-Kindergarten students had a foam-tastic day thanks to Dad’s Spare Time Foam Parties. This foam party was truly amazing!

This week the students in our Summer Adventure Club took on the Ultimate Design Challenge: to create the best possible playground. Our Primrose engineers visited the Keller Smithfield Activity Node and Kid Mania to get ideas, and then they designed and built their playgrounds.

Snapology of North Fort Worth helped them take their engineering dreams to the next level by coding Battle Axes. What an amazing week!

Our Pre-Kindergarten students have had an exciting couple of days! Yesterday Snapology of North Fort Worth helped them create a LEGO story, and today they got to eat some of the squash and zucchini that they have been growing in the Primrose Patch!

The first week of summer was a blast! Our students designed their own bears, created dream catchers, trapped alligators, and did some gardening. The Summer Adventure Club enjoyed their first field trip to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and our Pre-Kindergarten students had a great time at their first splash day! This summer is going to be the best one yet!

Today the students in our Summer Adventure Club had a lesson in transportation safety, and participated in a bus evacuation drill. Now they are ready for their first field trip of the summer!

And with that…the 2022-2023 Pre-Kindergarten class is a wrap! Our students put on a fun and memorable graduation performance for their families last night. We want to say thank you to our Pre-Kindergarten teachers who have worked hard to help their students learn and grow this year. At Primrose we believe who children become is as important as what they know, and we’re excited to see what our Class of 2023 does next!

During Unit 9: 'It's Alive' our students have been studying living things. As a part of that study we watched the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to butterfly. Last week we released our butterflies into the world! 🦋🐛

We loved celebrating all our graduates with a delicious ice cream social! Congratulations on all you have accomplished this year! 🎉

Cooper has been part of the Primrose family since March 2021. From a toddler who had high stranger danger (especially through a pandemic) and now to the little boy that runs into class and comes home filled with excitement to unload everything he learned through the day. We are so thankful to the teachers and staff of Primrose Heritage. You not only teach, but you partner with us as parents to raise our child. Thank you for tending to his heart and setting such a solid educational foundation.

About us: Ryan is a financial advisor with JP Morgan and Jessica is a nurse practitioner in the NICU at UT Southwestern Dallas. Cooper is a prototypical 3 year old. He loves being outside (his favorite toys are dirt and rocks…..) He moonlights as a superhero, although it is hard to keep track of which one he is at any given point.

Megy the pig has been teaching us how to keep our world beautiful by reducing, reusing, recycling and repairing. Our students celebrated yesterday with fun crafts, and a trip to the Primrose Patch to plant and release ladybugs. We had so much fun! 🌎🌻

Hello, I’m Ms. Allman! I’ve been in childcare for about a year now. I’m a teacher in the Young Toddler classroom, and I love watching the kids in my class learn and grow. Ultimately, I would love to be a special needs teacher or work with people with disabilities to help them live independently. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my 2-year-old daughter, usually playing outside or reading books. She also attends Primrose, and I love seeing how much fun she has every day!

This morning during Noggin' Joggin' our Early Preschool students rolled balls of different textures down a ramp to see what would happen. The students noticed that some of the balls rolled faster than others and they talked about why!
