This year I started using a program called Heggerty Phonemic Awareness. It has made a huge difference in the students ability to hear sounds in words. We do this every day after our calendar math time.

We've been talking about Fairy Tales this week, with the main focus being The Three Little Pigs. The kids had a great time creating their own houses for the pigs with playdough and building materials.
