Wow, I went to our local record store in Charleston the other day. Of course I found one of the best albums from our day!
I wonder what we would have paid back in the day.. me, I did the Columbia records deal for most of my music!!! Ha, one way to get 10 albums for $.10!!!! (Literally!)
Boston rocks!

I believe that 45th class reunion was a huge success! We started as soon as we hit town but it officially started Friday night with several classmates gathering together at Moundview to get an early start on the reunion!
Then Saturday was terrific golf outing hosted by Nancy Fenton with T-times filled with laughter and more conversation and some shady score keeping!
Saturday evening was the grand finale dinner with everyone that could make it! I would like to personally acknowledge to hard work that Joe and Stacy Theisen did to make the entire weekend very special. And a HUGE shout out to Holly Nieman for preparing a fantastic meal that was immediately consumed and enjoyed by all!! Overall, a terrific job by everyone at Moundview Golf Course!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!
Sunday turned out to be the re-scheduled fireworks display which was really an unbelievable demonstration on how a small community can come together and make us all proud!
Monday of course is the ever popular parade and Chik-Nik! Both were perfectly timed as the rains began at the end of the parade and then kept us near the beer tent for the remainder of the festivities!
It was tough to put a 4 day party together but I would say it was a pretty easy transition! I enjoyed seeing everyone again as many stated that it was a great turnout! If you couldn't make it, here are a few posts and photos to see.
Special shout out to Jeffrey Cila for taking the time to bless the reunion from 1,145 miles away from South Carolina via a zoom call only to proudly display his favorite Point beer shirt!!!! Always one to please the crowd!
Well, I guess it'll be another 5 years and we can do it again! Time is slipping by and we have to make the most of it. I would suggest that everyone try to make it next time. I know I'm going to try, I just have to learn to stay off roofs and crappy ladders!!!
Thanks to all who helped put this together. Hope to see you all again soon!
Greg .

Your thoughts??
08/21/2021
Hello Class of ‘77! A few old friends got together this week! Has anyone else gotten together with any distant classmates recently? Post it if you have!!
06/02/2021
Notice anything different? We updated the page to our new name because next year will be our 45th reunion!!
We've started planning already and we are going to keep it simple. Planning on the following:
July 1, 2022 Friday, Bar run in AdCo
July 2, 2022 Saturday, Dinner/party at the golf course
July 3, 2022 Sunday, Open to golf, or a keggar in the woods!
July 4, 2022 Monday, Meet at Chick-Nik, enjoy a meal, games, and have a casual place to interact and hang out!!
One thing I was thinking about is a small gift exchange. Simply put, names of participants/classmates are put in a bowl, one name is pulled out. That person will receive a gift from who ever pulls their name out, then that person pulls a name out and presents them with their gift and so on. What makes this unique is you only bring one gift and it could be a local (to you) item. Such as, if you are from Kentucky, you may want to gift a bottle of whiskey, or moonshine...easy enough right?? Think about it.....
If you have any other suggestions, feel to email or call me!
Hope to see everyone next July!
Greg Manthey
ps, I don't look like this anymore.....

From the flower shop...
“Yes the planter is about 5 gal size. Top diameter is 14" there are several assorted plants in it and is about 34" high. We sell so many of of these for funerals. Little care for these and very long lasting. “
02/09/2018
Thanks to those that donated for the plant for Mike Lobenstein’s funeral. Here is a photo of the plant and the receipt. I guess it’s been awhile since I bought plants but hopefully Penny can enjoy this in remembrance of our thoughts to Mike and his family.
RIP Mike Lobenstein from your upper classman, the class if ‘77.....

Classmates, as you may be aware Mike Lobenstein (class of 78) passed away yesterday Feb 3, 2018. I would like to ask each of you to make a small donation of $5.00 for flowers.
The remaining money can be forwarded to his wife Penny or the go fund me page that has been accepting donations.
If you would like to donate, let me know and I’ll start the process. Thank you in advance.

As I sit here on the beach I think back at all the good times at Friendship pond, Twin Lakes, Castle Rock and Petenwell to name a few. It seems like water has been a big part of my life from early on!! Do you have a favorite memory of being on the water? Maybe senior skip day? Were you married on the beach? Maybe you just have a love of seafood or freshwater fish!! Either way, our 40th reunion is just a week away!! Make plans to attend!! I'll be there! Hope to see everyone soon!

Here is some good news from one of our classmates! Congratulations David!!
The Adams-Friendship Area Education Foundation is proud to announce the induction of David Janssen to the Adams-Friendship Academic Hall of Fame during Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
Dr. David Janssen graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1977. He earned his A.B. Chemistry/Biology degree from Ripon College in 1981 and his medical degree from UW-Medical School in 1986. Surgical residencies and internships were served at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals (Michigan) from 1986 to 1991, the George Washington University School of Medicine, and Children’s Hospital National Medical Center (Washington, DC) from 1991-1993. As a resident, Dr. Janssen received a variety of awards and honors, including the first award in the Plastic Surgery Resident Research Competition presented by the National Capital Society. Returning to Wisconsin in 1993, Dr. Janssen is currently a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon providing care in Oshkosh, Neenah, Appleton, and Berlin. He has served as Chief of Surgery at Mercy Medical Center; Medical Director for Renaissance Surgery Center, and Medical Director for Thedacare Surgery Center in Oshkosh. In addition to numerous presentations on a variety of subjects from breast cancer and reconstruction to vein care, he has published journal articles and written chapters for two medical texts. The Wisconsin public service commercial focusing on helmet usage and his travels with Women for World Medicine to perform plastic and reconstructive surgery in third world countries are examples of his participation in both local and global communities.
When asked how Adams-Friendship Schools prepared him to perform for life, Dr. Janssen shared, “I admit, that if you told seventeen-year-old me that I would be considered for this honor, I may not have believed you. Today, I am a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon with over thirty years of experience; back then, I was a reasonable athlete, but a mediocre student, floundering academically and unsure of what the future held for me. I didn’t know it then, as I struggled through classes, but AFHS was quietly instilling values that I would count on for the rest of my career.”
