It’s not just play. Children feel the stress and need positive ways to deal with it.

Many of us were moved to tears today. We are so grateful for the kindness and support shown to our family here at KACL. Thank you so much to Adriana Garcia and family along with Cody Scurlock and family as well as our owner Tymeka Moore and family for all the snacks, drinks and pizza today.

I want to give a shout out to these wonderful ladies. Some have water in their homes, some have no electricity and some have been staying away from their homes. They still show up with smiles on their faces and open arms. Thank you for all your patience this week.

The scheduled field trip for tomorrow 7/11/24 has been canceled

We will continue to operate from 7:30am-5:30pm for the rest of this week. This will help ensure we have staffing available and they can commute while it’s daylight since many live in areas that are still experiencing power outages.
Next week we will resume with our normal operating schedule. Thank you again for your patience and being flexible during these usual circumstances.

We love the message these girls are sending through their photoshoot – that no kid can be defined as just one thing. You can be an athlete, a princess (or prince), smart, kind, creative... Be who you are, even if it checks many boxes, and even if not everyone gets it.

Due to the effects of hurricane Beryl our scheduled field trip will be canceled. We know everyone was excited but we must act in the best interest of the children. We apologize for the disappointment as we all work together thru this storm’s aftermath.

We will be open with limited operating hours on Wednesday, July 10th from 7:30am-5:30pm for those that have no other option for care at this time. We are restricted with staff availability so we appreciate your understanding in this matter.

As of 9:00 pm the academy is still without power. We will remain closed for Tuesday July 9th. We will keep you updated if anything changes. Be safe.

Currently we are without electricity in the building. We will check the academy again tonight at nine please have a plan in place for care for your children. Thank you for your understanding. We will keep you posted for any updates.

Out of caution for our staff and families we will be closed for Monday, July 8th due to the threat of flooding and high winds from Tropical Storm Beryl.

We want to thank all our wonderful families, friends and peers for showering Mrs.Ashlee with love and support. We truly are blessed to have such a wonderful supportive group of families in the center. Our staff went above and beyond to welcome Baby Parker into this great big world. Thank you everyone for everything and all the heartfelt warm wishes. Everything is truly appreciated and has touched the hearts of Mrs. Ashlee and her family.

When it comes to instilling a love for our planet in children, literacy plays an important role.

Introducing young minds to engaging books about nature, animals, and conservation sparks their curiosity about the environment and empowers them to become responsible stewards of our Earth.🌱

A recent creative event organized by .gaithersburg is an excellent example of this. It beautifully demonstrated how to nurture both a love of reading and a respect for the world around us in future generations.

Preschoolers from Kiddie Academy of Middletown, DE received five stars on Yelp for their excellent customer service in this week’s pizza shop dramatic play. 🍕

The dramatic play center is an active area where children begin to explore many of the adult roles they observe in the community, at school, and at home. This learning center promotes self-expression, imagination, and creativity.
