When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

The kids had an unforgettable experience today with a special visit from Monty The Magician! The show was a delightful blend of magic and comedy, leaving everyone in awe and laughter. The best part? The kids got to participate in the magic tricks, making the experience even more special. Laughter echoed throughout the building, and smiles were everywhere! 🤩🥳

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

Our students recently enjoyed an exciting field trip to Wetzel's Pretzels inside the The Galleria! The experience was delightful for everyone involved and the snacks were delicious! All in all, it was a fantastic time filled with fun and tasty treats! 🥨🤩

This past week was a whirlwind of excitement and joy at our summer camp! The kids kicked off their adventure with a magical visit from Mr. Leo's Puppet show, where laughter and wonder filled the air. Midweek we indulged in a sweet treat at our delightful ice cream social. The smiles on their faces were as bright as the summer sun! We wrapped up the week with our highly anticipated Primrose Carnival. The joy and laughter echoing throughout the day was truly heartwarming!

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

😊🎸This week, the kids enjoyed a special one-on-one music lesson with Ms. Meg! We had a fantastic time singing songs and exploring the guitar. The kids were thrilled to touch and play on the guitar, making beautiful music together. It was an awesome experience for everyone! A huge thank you to Ms. Meg for the special visit. The kids absolutely loved it! 🎼🎸

Today is Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates Black history, equality and freedom in the United States. It's a day of remembrance, but also a day of joy and celebration for Black Americans. We honor and encourage families to join us in recognition of this important occasion!

🌞Summer Camp Fun in Full Swing! 🌞Our Campers are having an incredible time with a variety of experiences. From finding their inner peace in yoga sessions to celebrating our amazing dads, the fun never stops! One of the highlights has been a visit from The Reptile Guys. Our campers showed such bravery, getting up close and personal with some fascinating reptiles. 🐸🐍🐢🦎

It's been a Summer to remember, and we can't wait for more adventures to come! 😍🥳🫶

Our Preschoolers have been hard at work on their letter identification and phonological awareness. They practiced blending sounds together to make words! We are so proud of their amazing progress and dedication. Great job, preschoolers!

The Texas heat is in full swing, so the kids took a break with some refreshing popsicles outside with their friends! Seeing their smiling faces, its clear they cooled down a bit. Cheers to summertime fun!

Our toddlers had an incredible week filled with engaging activities and exciting learning experiences! They enjoyed reading time, discussions about soft and hard objects, and learning about different body parts and how they use them. One of the highlights was a fun and interactive "Feel and Find" game!
