Open House was awesome yesterday! It was great to meet so many new families and reconnect with old friends 😊 We treated the staff to a Taco Tuesday lunch from Diablo's Southwest Grill! Speaking of… We are having a Taco Tuesday Panther Night on Tuesday, August 29! PTO will receive a portion of all sales that night so mark your calendars! 🌯🌮

BIG thank you to Chuck with Flavor Island for serving up delicious shave ice for everyone! You all helped us raise $266!! 🍧🤩

Teachers went back to school today, so we made sure they had full bellies and lots of caffeine! 😆 Special thanks to Warren's Breakfast & Grill for their delicious biscuits! Coffee bar from Hoschton Coffee Company was a huge HIT! We love our small businesses and spoiling our staff.🤩

WJES PTO would like to thank Mrs. Jessica Jones for an amazing 6 years of service as our President. During her tenure, she organized many fundraisers, took amazing care of our staff, and made our students feel special in many ways. From WOW events to our annual FunRun, she always gave 100%. She worked tirelessly to raise funds for playground equipment, classroom supplies, school grants, new library books etc. We’re going to miss every aspect of her friendship and service. Thank you for ALL you’ve done for us here at West Jackson Elementary, Jessica!

Before they were graduating seniors, they were in elementary school! We loved having all the former WJES students walk the halls one last time and celebrating them all. A huge thank you to Dana Stewart for creating such an amazing set up for the Senior Walk!

⭐️ Field Day starts Monday!! ⭐️

Field day, concessions will be held each afternoon! Prices for concessions start at $1 (candy, chips, drinks). The Flavor Ice truck will also be with us and selling shaved ice for $4 each, and it’s a good sized cup! Students will have a variety of flavors to choose from- cotton candy, blue raspberry, cherry and more!
Cash only for all concessions, and we recommend sending your child’s money in a baggie or envelope with their name and specifying if you’re getting a shaved ice.

The 5th graders had a blast at the dance today, fun was had by all including teachers!
Thank you to all the teachers and parents that helped.

Today is School Lunch Hero Day, and WJES has the best!! We loved getting to surprise them with a little gift today.
Mrs Juanisha is such an amazing leader of this crew, and we appreciate all that they do for our school! Thank you, ladies!!! 👏👏👏
