Thursday's Half Day Schedule for BOCES students is below:
• Students will leave for BOCES at 9:17
• Will attend BOCES until 10:45
• Return for lunch at 10:50-Dismissed after lunch at 11:10
• Attend periods 1, 2 and 3
• Eat lunch at 10:06
• With parent permission, student may be excused (must call the office or write a note)
• Will not attend BOCES
There will be no assembly for students in grades 9 and 10.

In our effort to maintain consistent communication between school and home, we will be placing a greater emphasis on the use of our online communication tool, Parent Portal. Beginning with the 15 week progress reporting period (December 22), paper copies of the five-week progress reports will no longer be mailed home. They will be uploaded electronically to Parent Portal. If you have not yet registered for Parent Portal, please follow the instructions on the link on the left side of the district's homepage, www.hornellcityschools.com. If you have any questions or need assistance resetting a password, please contact Colby Moore at 324-1302 x. 1461. If you do not have access to internet and require a paper copy, please contact the guidance office to request this.

The HHS Vocal Music Program will give a concert TONIGHT at 7:30pm entitled “An Evening of Pops.” Patrons will enjoy music panning over 75 years including Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Adele, Queen, Chicago, Jimmy Buffett and much more.
Doors open at 7:00pm. The cost of admission is $5.00. Children 9yrs and younger are FREE. Proceeds benefit the HHS Choir competition trip to Boston, MA at the end of March 2017.

All schools in the district will release students 15 minutes early on Friday, October 14. 2016 for our annual drill to practice emergency dismissal procedures.
At each schools respective dismissal time, all students and staff must leave the building. Busses will run 15 minutes early, so your bus students will leave as normal.
Staff and students who plan to remain for after school programs or extra-curricular activities must leave the building for the duration of 15 minutes. After the drill is complete, students and staff may re-enter the building.
The purpose of the drill is to ensure everyone in each building is aware of procedures in the event of an emergency.
