Safety Town is a community project designed to provide hands-on safety education for children.
A realistic, child-sized town with miniature streets, buildings, crosswalks and working traffic lights, Safety Town offers an authentic setting for bicycle, pedestrian and vehicular safety instruction. Safety Town is a one-week summer program offered to rising Hopewell Valley School District Kindergartners. The program is directed by YMCA staff members with assistance from local youth volunteers and features visits by police, firefighters, paramedics and other local first responders.

The countdown is on - we are just a month away from kicking off the inaugural Hopewell Valley Safety Town! We're at capacity for registered participants, but are still looking for teen volunteers to help teach the little ones about safety education!
