Well, folks! That's a wrap on the 2019-2020 school year. We are so grateful for all of our tutors, who jumped in to action and were ready to tutor online when school closed. Congratulations to our amazing Seniors. We love you all!
We've gotten a few questions from Herndon High School teachers and students about when online tutoring will start. We're waiting to hear more from FCPS about online learning. Once online learning starts, we'll be able to offer online tutoring. Until then, take care of yourselves!
Love, The HWC
Some of you may have heard of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), which happens every November. NaNoWriMo is holding Stay Home Writing Month ( ) for the next month. It's a writing-based initiative "to help your physical, mental, social, and creative well-being."
Learn more on their website here: https://nanowrimo.org/stayhomewrimo and follow their Twitter for more information: or check out their page: NaNoWriMo
While we're really, really sad (REALLY SAD) that was cancelled, we're jumping back into action. We're currently building on Lead Tutors Katherine and Dario's SSWCA 2020 presentation on Digital Tutoring to prepare for the HWC to go digital should FCPS close in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
