With the Holiday season behind us, it’s time to return to work and school.
Check out these tips to make the transition smoother:
❇️ Prepare ahead of time: Build a consistent routine and discuss it with your little.
☮️ Find calming practices for drop-offs: Avoid sneaking out. Sneaking out when your child’s distracted may be tempting, but it can actually increase your child’s anxiety because they never know when you might disappear.

This year has been a lot, hasn’t it? We are here to help you ease the stress, and find calm for you and your family:
⭐ Practice gratitude as a family by journaling or sharing three good things that happened during your day.
⭐ Be kind to yourself—enjoy a five-minute meditation, a hot bath, or a call with a friend.
⭐ Laugh and play to reduce stress and increase endorphins, to provide your mind and body with a release.
⭐ Connect with friends in a group chat, grab a coffee, or host a game night.
What is your go-to method for easing stress?

✨ Happy National Walk to School Day!
Got a little runner? It’s common for kids to dash off as they explore their independence, especially between ages 2-5. Whether your child is running for attention, a break, or because of big emotions, there are ways to keep them close and safe.
1. Redirect their excitement: Teach them to tap your arm and point when they see something they love, like a fire truck.
2. Offer attention: Before heading out, spend quality time together to fill their need for connection.
3. Ease overstimulation: Identify calm spots where they can take breaks if the walk gets overwhelming.
4️. Manage big feelings: Teach them safe ways to express frustration, like taking deep breaths or stomping their feet.

Imagine starting school without pencils or notebooks.
Sadly, this is a reality for many K-12 students across the country. Teachers are often left to fill this gap, digging into their own pockets, spending an average of $750 a year on supplies.
KinderCare and Kids In Need Foundation want to change that. And, we need your help. A simple $25 donation (which we’ll match up to $20,000) provides one student with the essential supplies to confidently start their school year.
