There are two sessions available. If you applied for one area, you come to one workshop. If you signed up for two areas, you can come for two workshop sessions.

Students were able to view modern art, classic art and cultural art as well as choose a piece to critique.

We are beyond excited to host current eighth grade students who are looking to join Center for the Arts during their high school year!


Due to the inclement weather, all After School Activities in Henrico County Public Schools have been canceled for tonight, Friday, November 11, 2022. This means that our CFA Visual Arts Gallery and our CFA Performing Arts Showcase will be canceled this evening.

The Visual Arts Gallery and Performing Arts Showcase will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022. This will be the ONLY performance date – there is no make-up date for the Friday gallery and performance. All tickets previously purchased on GoFan for the Friday night performance WILL be honored at the Saturday evening Showcase. You will still be able to purchase tickets at the auditorium door on Saturday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m.

• The CFA Fall Showcase is Saturday, November 12, 2022 ONLY – Friday night shows have been CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
o Visual Arts Gallery & Reception @ 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the CFA Visual Arts Building/Jeff Hall Gallery

This week was filled with awesome opportunities for our CFA Students!

Wednesday, the Theatre and Musical Theatre students were able to participate in a talkback with NY Broadway performer Mary Page Nance.

Today was a beautiful day for CFA Visual Arts field trip to the Branch Museum! Toured galleries, ate lunch in the gardens and talked with the artists.

Tuesday was a cool day for our CFA Theatre seniors! Rob Cardwell with Channel 6 News came out to film for a “Building Better Minds” segment.

The segment is scheduled to air on Channel 6 News September 28th.

What a great opportunity for our students to network, build filming experience and bring a positive light to a tiny part of the good CFA does for the students in our county.

Dr. Stephanie Poxon & Mrs. Sarah Sluss are so excited to visit classrooms today and welcome all our awesome CFA students back for the new school year!!!

This year we are moving FOWARD TOGETHER!

Big Congratulations to our very own Mr. Billy Dye (Musical Theatre teacher) for his Richmond Theatre Critics Circle nomination for Best Musical Direction for Beehive the Musical ❤️

CFA MT Alum Jianna Hurt got a nomination for Best Supporting Performance in a Musical for Beehive the Musical!

CFA Theatre Alum Zoe Cotzias got a nomination for Breakout Performance for Collective Rage!

CFA guest choreographer Leslie Owens-Harrington got a nomination for Best Choreographer!

And Mr. Paul Dandridge’s wife and CFA guest artist Emily Berg-Poff Dandridge received nominations in two categories, including Best Lead Performance for Murder for Two!

Grab your wall calendar, planners, phone (whatever you use) and make sure your dates are marked correctly.

PowerSchool Parent Portal is now open

Attention Henrico Families: The PowerSchool Parent Portal is now open!

When you sign up for a parent or guardian PowerSchool account, you get easy access to class grades, attendance information and student schedules. The portal also gives you “single sign-on” access to other online services.

Online back-to-school forms: eCollect, a PowerSchool resource, makes back-to-school forms easier than ever. Access forms through PowerSchool Parent Portal by logging in and selecting the “Forms” button.

Pay school fees online: Elective classes at the middle and high school levels (such as art, music, band, and career and technical education courses) may still require a fee. Online School Payments allows families of middle and high-schoolers to pay school fees electronically. If you need to set up a payment plan, please contact your school to schedule a meeting with an administrator.

Bus routes and elementary classroom assignments are expected to be available in PowerSchool Parent Portal Monday, Aug. 22 after 9:30 a.m. Middle and high school schedules will appear in PowerSchool Friday, Aug. 26 after 9:30 a.m.
