This , we're still inspired by the successful launch of the "Faces of Mentoring" exhibition hosted at University of Richmond Downtown on Friday evening. Thank you to the students, administrators, program partners, and mentoring matches who attended this celebratory kickoff, and to our Bonner scholar Nicole Benites and the University of Richmond-Bonner Center for Civic Engagement team for bringing the vision of the exhibit to life. The exhibition features portraits that matches have made of one another, creatively capturing the spirit of their relationships. Thank you to our program partners Higher Achievement Richmond, Henrico Heroes Mentoring Program Ladies of Focus, Youth Life Foundation of Richmond, and Scholars' Latino Initiative for participating in this project and contributing such fun, creative pieces. If you missed opening night, don't worry - The exhibition will remain on display through August, and the room can be reserved for meetings and events. All of the artwork can be viewed and purchased here: https://faces-of-mentoring.myshopify.com/.
One week from today, join VMP for First Fridays 5-7pm at University of Richmond Downtown. We are excited for the launch of an exhibition, "Faces of Mentoring," curated by one of our University of Richmond Bonner Scholars, Nicole Maldonado Benites, in partnership with local mentoring programs and student artists from the U of R community. The exhibition will display the positive impacts of mentoring in communities by showcasing artwork created during workshops this spring by VMP's mentoring program partners Higher Achievement Richmond, Henrico Heroes Mentoring Program Ladies of Focus, Youth Life Foundation of Richmond, and Scholars' Latino Initiative.
