Lakeside Elementary School is partnering with Mathnasium of Mechanicsville to provide a Virtual Math Day for students! Students will be able to rotate through virtual rooms to play several different and fun math games on April 28th from 9:30 – 10:30. Please fill out the google form to let us know whether your student will be attending or not. Your responses will help use plan a successful day full of math fun!

Dear Lakeside Families,
If you missed our virtual International Night on March 25th, you now have a chance watching all the wonderful videos our Lakeside leopards put together by clicking on this LKES International Night link. The videos are representing 13 different countries from 5 continents! Watch the videos by continents using the continent images our of new flags, or by content, by clicking on the links to our virtual cookbook, virtual tours, traditional clothes, or dance and music! You will also have a chance to watch the PTA’s video that unveils our new continent flags in our remodeled lobby! Thank you for everyone who supported the fundraiser and for the families who submitted videos!
This presentation is ‘live’, and we still accept international or multicultural videos. Send your videos to Ms. Rumrill at [email protected] and she’ll add them as they come in! Looking forward to seeing more Lakeside videos!

A photographer from Strawbridge Studios will be at Lakeside on 3/18/2021 and 3/19/2021 to photograph your child’s fall pictures!
This link will allow families to sign up to receive updates via email regarding your child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.

This week is Read Across America Week! We will be reading inclusive stories that celebrate diversity and compassion. Tuesday, March 2nd will also be Book Character Day- dress up as your favorite book character!

This Monday, March 1 is our One School, One Book Drive Through! Come by to pick up your copy of Dragons in a Bag!
Grades PreK-2 will take place from 4:00-5:00 and grades 3-5 will take place from 5:00-6:00. We will start reading the book the evening of March 2.
