When A Man Loves A Woman - MY Wife MY Life - MEET THE BROWNS

The Bible declares in the NLT of Proverbs 18:22 -
The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD. There are some untold stories about THE BROWNS that we all can learn from. Husbands are to love their wives just as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it. This story of WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN segment is sure to encourage someone to keep loving their wives.

[08/14/21]   As we walk with God and commit to study and learn the more of Him, we soon realize that this way of living is ALL ABOUT GOD! We must give up our personal agendas and make up our minds to do the WILL of GOD. We yield our will to his so that God is magnified in every area of our lives. It's not until we totally surrender our plans to the way of the Lord that we will find peace and true happiness in this present world.

Acts 9:1-6 KJV

1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

[08/14/21]   I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM - The Bible let's us know that when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives as our personal savior, he makes all things NEW. The things that were part of my past are no longer "the rule" in my life (II Corinthians 5:17). Even after we make Jesus our Lord and savior, we don't get it all right the first time. So if we mess up, it doesn't change our identity. Our prayer and focus is that we will SEE OURSELVES LIKE GOD SEES US. As Myrna says in her book, "We must put away the negative thinking about ourselves". Let us act like God, talk like God, walk like God, live like God, think like God. If we focus on repeating what God says about us, we will spend less time focusing on what's wrong with us. Philippians 4:8 - THINK ON THESE THINGS..

I Corinthians 5:17 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

[08/14/21]   The exhortations and prayers of focus for this week are inspired by a book written by Myrna R. Herndon entitled Truth for Trendsetters. As believers, we must know that we are never alone. The Lord promises to be with always even unto the ends of the earth. Our confidence in God allows us to stand firm on what we know about Him. He will be there in our darkest moments. He is there when we are rejoicing. There is no place we can go and God isn't there. The Bible lets us know this very thing in Psalm 139. Be encouraged this week as we thank God for being in our lives. Commit to encourage someone else who needs to be reminded of God's goodness.

Deuteronomy 31:6-8
6“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
7Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance. 8“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Midday Meditation - Word for today - FAITH - Hebrews 11:1-6

Scripture Reading for today's Meditation Moment - Hebrews 11:1-6 KJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

MornINspiration - THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT - Faith - Hebrews 11:6 KJV

In Greek, the root word from which we get 'faith, the noun is PISTIS, and 'believe', the verb is PISTUEO.

FAITH means- belief, firm persuasion, assurance, firm conviction, faithfulness. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance that the lord is working, even though we cannot see it. Faith knows that no matter what the situation, in our lives or someone else's that the lord is working in it. Extracted from https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Hebrew_Roots/The_original_foundation/Faith

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

MornINspiration - FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT - GOODNESS - Psalm 23:6 NIV

As we continue this week focusing on the character traits of our Father, God, we will pick up where we left off on Friday. Friday, we stopped with longsuffering and we pray that each of us will realize that in order to reign with Jesus Christ, we MUST suffer and endure hardness as a good soldier.

Today, our focus is GOODNESS... In the Greek, the term agathosune is goodness... It means intrinsic goodness, especially as a personal quality, with stress on the kindly side of goodness; as relating to believers, the goodness that comes from God (Souter) and showing itself in spiritual, moral excellence (virtue) (information was extracted from https://biblehub.com/greek/19.htm

We often talk about the GOODNESS of the LORD. We are take on this attribute and be kind to one another. Let's remember with lovingkindness has the Lord drawn us to himself. We should display that same goodness in our character as followers of the Lord.

Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

MornINspiration - THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT - Gentleness

Gentleness in the Greek is praotés (prah-ot'-ace) which means meekness; it means to avoid unnecessary harshness, yet without compromising or being too slow to use necessary force... Extrapolated from https://biblehub.com/greek/4236.htm

Colossians 4:5-6 King James Version
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

[08/09/21]   Acts 2
Living Bible
2 Seven weeks had gone by since Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the Day of Pentecost had now arrived.[a] As the believers met together that day, 2 suddenly there was a sound like the roaring of a mighty windstorm in the skies above them and it filled the house where they were meeting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on their heads. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in languages they didn’t know,[b] for the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

5 Many godly Jews were in Jerusalem that day for the religious celebrations, having arrived from many nations. 6 And when they heard the roaring in the sky above the house, crowds came running to see what it was all about, and were stunned to hear their own languages being spoken by the disciples.

7 “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “For these men are all from Galilee, 8 and yet we hear them speaking all the native languages of the lands where we were born! 9 Here we are—Parthians, Medes, Elamites, men from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia Minor, 10 Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the Cyrene language areas of Libya, visitors from Rome—both Jews and Jewish converts— 11 Cretans, and Arabians. And we all hear these men telling in our own languages about the mighty miracles of God!”

12 They stood there amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?” they asked each other.

13 But others in the crowd were mocking. “They’re drunk, that’s all!” they said.

14 Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven apostles and shouted to the crowd, “Listen, all of you, visitors and residents of Jerusalem alike! 15 Some of you are saying these men are drunk! It isn’t true! It’s much too early for that! People don’t get drunk by 9:00 a.m.! 16 No! What you see this morning was predicted centuries ago by the prophet Joel— 17 ‘In the last days,’ God said, ‘I will pour out my Holy Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men dream dreams. 18 Yes, the Holy Spirit shall come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they shall prophesy. 19 And I will cause strange demonstrations in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and clouds of smoke; 20 the sun shall turn black and the moon blood-red before that awesome Day of the Lord arrives. 21 But anyone who asks for mercy from the Lord shall have it and shall be saved.’

MIDNIGHT REWIND- PRAYING FOR THE CHILDREN

Let’s pray for the children, educators, school leaders, and all things going back to school

[08/09/21]   1 Corinthians 15:51-58
Living Bible
51 But I am telling you this strange and wonderful secret: we shall not all die, but we shall all be given new bodies! 52 It will all happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For there will be a trumpet blast from the sky,[a] and all the Christians who have died will suddenly become alive, with new bodies that will never, never die; and then we who are still alive shall suddenly have new bodies too. 53 For our earthly bodies, the ones we have now that can die, must be transformed into heavenly bodies that cannot perish but will live forever.

54 When this happens, then at last this Scripture will come true—“Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55-56 O death, where then your victory? Where then your sting? For sin—the sting that causes death—will all be gone; and the law, which reveals our sins, will no longer be our judge. 57 How we thank God for all of this! It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord!

58 So, my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection.

WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN: THAT'S MY MAMA - Apostle Dr. Keith Wyett

When A Man Loves A Woman is about sharing examples of relationships between men and women whether she is his mother, wife, sister, or daughter. The Bible teaches us how we are to treat each other. These next few weeks will be about MEN entreating WOMEN and what these PICTURES OF LOVE look like as admonished in scripture.

This week is LOVE from SON to MOTHER. Please join Apostle Wyett as he gives us some practical tips on how MOTHERS should be treated by their sons. This is a lesson for both males and females. Women, as mothers, we must know that we are to train our children to respect and honor us as their mothers.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her;

[08/06/21]   Acts 2
New International Version
The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost
2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them. 5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,[b] 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” 13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

Peter Addresses the Crowd
14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

MornINspiration - LONSUFFERING IS MANDATORY

2 Timothy 2:3-5 KJV
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

2 Timothy 2:3-5 NIV
3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. 5 Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.
