Spirit Week Announcement:

Due to the snow and ice the last two days, here are a few modifications to Spirit Week:

Wednesday: Old/Young Day
Thursday: Christmas Day
Friday: Cowboy/Indian Day
February 22nd: Blue and Gold Day

Family Fun night is still happening this Friday from 6-8 pm. Please send your forms in ASAP so we know how many to plan for that evening.

Due to snowy conditions, HCS will be operating on a two-hour delay today, February 11th. Spirit week is still happening. Kindergarten will be staying for the duration of the day and there is no PE today.

Tomorrow, January 31st, we will be having a two-hour delay. Again, kindergarten will stay the duration of the day.

Due to slick roads, we are running on a 1-hour DELAY this morning, January 18th.

Going live with more evening rehearsal for KCEA All-State Choir at 7:30pm tonight.

Hoping to go live this afternoon from where four of our students are preparing for the KCEA All-State Choir Concert tomorrow in Harrisburg. The concerts tomorrow are at 11:00 and 1:30 in Harrisburg at the Capital Rotunda.

Rather than have a two-hour delay on a half-day, we are cancelling school for tomorrow. Please stay safe! Parent-teacher conferences will go on as planned in the afternoon.

BIG thank you to everyone who came out Saturday to run our 2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K. We appreciate you braving the elements and trust you enjoyed the course and the opportunity to get some exercise on a beautiful, but windy, fall day.
As an aside, if you were not able to participate in the 5K, but would like to support the senior class, you can order a 5K shirt for $10 through the school. Call us and give us your name, size, and time you will pick up and we will be sure to set one aside for you. All proceeds from the shirt sales go directly to the senior class.

Looks like a 5K is happening tomorrow. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Lots of fun prizes, snacks, drinks, and fun. Oh, and registration is inside this year too.

PSA: Online registration for the 5K Saturday will end at midnight tonight. We welcome those interested in running to register the morning of the race. We look forward to seeing many of you. Much has been done over the last days to clear the path of downed trees and leaves. We are praying that tomorrow's forecasted rain doesn't wash out the offroad part of the trail.

Drum roll!! Here is the shirt design for the 5K. Everyone who registers for the race before this Friday (October 26th) is guaranteed a race shirt. Please like and share this post.

The course for the race is the same as last year (we will post the map in the next few days).

Our faculty and full-time staff went to Escape Confusion here in Hanover on our last day of Teacher Orientation. Thankfully we all made it out and had a BLAST in the process! Here are a few pics of us enjoying our time together.
