God bless our students! One of our 6th grade students was so moved by a visiting priest's missionary visit a few weeks ago that she rallied her classmates to take action. This year's focus on servitude for our entire school provided the best opportunity to involve the entire school community. After posters and presentations, a special dress down day was held for our school and $800 was raised. Father Constantine visited our parish once again yesterday to receive the donation for the people of Tanzania. He praised our students as the first who have taken action after one of his many missionary visits to parishes across the country. This was an important lesson in selflessness and generosity for our students, and our school community is proud of their dedication to serving the people of Tanzania! ☘️

Our 1B class read about the Pojaoque People and their tradition of hoop dancing in Scholastic News . They watched several videos about it, and tried out the formations! The kiddos tried the eagle, the butterfly, and the globe formations. Then we learned about St. Kateri, the first Native American Saint, and asked her to pray for us. They colored a picture of her too!

"Her kindness, generosity to others, and respect for all people was learned from an early age at St. Joe’s." - Mrs. Amy Miller, mom
"To be honest, as soon as I heard that Finley was going to be a contestant in the Miss Hanover Pageant, I knew she would win. She is the "All American" girl! I taught Finley in Kindergarten and throughout the years I've watched her grow into a beautiful young lady inside and out. She has a contagious smile, a generous heart, and a hard-working spirit. The sky is the limit for this amazing girl!! Congratulations Finley!! - Mrs. Michelle Hagarman, SJS teacher
"I am so excited to hear that Finley won the Miss Hanover Pageant! It does not surprise me that she has achieved this honor. Even as a fourth grader, Finley, was dedicated to both her studies and her extracurricular activities, such as dance. She is an amazing young woman, and I can't wait to see what opportunities the world holds for her next. Congratulations, Finley, your St. Joseph School family is extremely proud of you!" - Miss Theresa Smith, SJS teacher
