Starting today with a surprise visit! Ritz is so calm and good with kids. We love him! Big assembly with fun games. Fun math game to review the unit 4. We celebrated the Lantern Festival (元宵节) with the traditional sweet treat “汤圆” （sweet dumplings). Watching our new year show at the end of the day. What a busy but fun day!

Students have worked hard to have good behavior and work habits to reveal a mystery reward in Mrs. Zank’s class. Today we celebrated with a Glow Day!

Late posting! What a month! We celebrated Chinese lunar new year by making dumplings! It was fun and delicious!

Museum day was a huge success! Students did a great job presenting and answering questions about their inventions. Thank you to those that were able to join us!

Reading buddies!!! Today we had an opportunity to read with first graders! It was a great way to practice fluency. They had a blast! Ask them about their experience!

Today, students had an opportunity to explore careers they are interested in. These kids have big plans and dreams! Ask your child about the career they researched today.

It's CORN! Today we started our new ELA unit all about corn! Students got to observe real corn and make inferences. Ask your child about it!

Got so many great helpers and hard workers in the classroom! We truly have an amazing group of kids! Hope they all have a wonderful weekend!

Our students finished their first poster project “ River Trail Plans”! They practiced multiplying whole numbers by fractions, and the group collaboration went awesome! We talked about the different roles in the group work. How to be a good leader, a great helper, be kind to others, and keeping each other on task! We are so proud of our students!

He Laoshi spoiled some of our 5th graders today! They worked so hard with their learning partners last week to master math skills!

Today we wrapped up Unit 1 in ELA. Students will be bringing home a unit portfolio with all of their daily work. Take a look and see what we've been busy working on!
