Discovery Scorpions PTO

We would like to invite you all to join us Monday May 11th at 330 pm in the cafeteria for a meeting with a representative from the PTA. We will be talking about what we will need to do to get our PTA up and running before the end of the school year. Please feel free to bring any questions, comments, or concerns you may have! Thank you for being patient with us in our restructuring and I hope to see everyone there on Monday.

If you are unable to make it but have any questions please email me and I will do my best to get them answered for you.

It is National Volunteer Week and I just want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all of you for all you do for our school and all the kids who attend it! We appreciate you. Also Thank You for being patient with us while we restructure and make our organization better for you, Discovery, and the all students.

Hello ALL,
We have a great opportunity to make money for the school. This Saturday(Jan 10th) is our Glendale Glitter parking lot event! If you are interested please let us know. I think it will be fun and we will be helping the school. If you could even donate one or two hours that would be great. The time frames would be from about 1-8 pm.

Also, unfortunately parking cars can be dangerous for young children, so we are unable to have students and children help. I appreciate your consideration of this request!

There will be a meeting tomorrow January 6th at 4pm in the cafeteria. Hope to see you all there.

There will be an informational meeting tomorrow, November 24th at 4pm with the principal. Everyone is invited to attend.

There will be an emergency PTO meeting on Thursday, November 20 at 3:30. This meeting should only take about 15 minutes. We need to get everyone's approval on a fundraiser to start immediately. Hope to see you there!

Just a quick update about the Bylaws Committee..... We made some very good progress in yesterday's meeting in writing up our bylaws. However, there is still a lot more to do. The next Bylaws Committee meeting has yet to be determined.

We also want to let everyone know there is a regular PTO meeting on Thursday at 4 in the cafeteria.

Lastly a quick reminder that this Saturday we are having our first Community Clean-up. For everyone wanting to participate, we will be meeting up at 9am at Discovery Park (which is the park directly behind our school). Trash bags and gloves will be provided as well as ice water.

We are having a Bylaw Committee Meeting tomorrow November 10th at 3pm in the cafeteria for everyone who is interested in attending. It will more then likely run until around 6pm.

Don't forget there is a PTO meeting today at 4 in the cafeteria!!!!

Sweets Bingo Night was a huge success!!!! Thanks to everyone that came out!! A special thanks go out to all of the parents that donated to our raffle baskets!!!!
