Gary Sprague and his horse Dusty joined me last night to welcome Next Stage Choir (on tour from the UK) to a BBQ and softball game hosted by Sounds of the Southwest Singers. I presented the UK choir members with T-shirts to wear for the game. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother
by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell
The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another
It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy he's my brother
He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother, he ain't heavy

Really missing our Tuesday night rehearsals. But sure am glad they were cancelled.
From Business Insider, today: "Just take the heart-wrenching example of a church choir in Mount Vernon, Washington, ravaged by COVID-19. On March 10, 60 choir members showed up for practice, pumped hand sanitizer on their palms, and avoided their usual hugs and handshakes as they belted out tunes for 2 1/2 hours. Now at least 45 of those singers have gotten a diagnosis of COVID-19 or have symptoms, three have been hospitalized, and two are dead."
Hope all are healthy and happy.
"A sound of hope, a sound of peace, a sound that celebrates and speaks what we believe. A sound of love, a sound so strong. It's amazing what is given when we share a song. This is why we sing..."
I can't stop.
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful gifts and thoughtful goodies. I so enjoy accompanying both groups and hope to keep up with you for another year. Thank you.
