Our very own Veronica Lieb Crawford wrote “Embracing the Monster Within,” an engaging focus on growing up and finding resilience and success despite having multiple non-apparent disabilities (LD, ADHD, Bi-Polar, Complex PTSD, and Anorexia). Written in 2001 for educators, mental health care providers, employers, parents, persons with these conditions, and anyone who wanted to obtain an understanding of gaining resilience despite obstacles, the content remains rich and relevant today.

Valuing Diversity = Valuing Disability - P.A.R.T. Coaching
As an employer and professional with hidden disabilities, Veronica Crawford is used to seeing many HR articles about, and have been a part of inclusionary business strategies towards recognizing, valuing and working with diversity in the workplace; however, few professional articles on the topic recognize there exists a large minority of the workforce who have disabilities.
As the country moves towards full employment, and employers are looking at filling more positions with “non-traditional” workers, that trend is starting to change. While the workplace continues to evolve in this direction, diversity inclusion efforts should logically direct management to undertake efforts to ensure persons with disabilities are represented at all levels of the organization as a distinct workforce minority.

Hello my friends, if any of you don't already know it. This is my private practice that has been in operation since 1995. I have not advertised before but decided to set up a Facebook account! Today I want to share my personal insight in working for years with individuals who are on the Spectrum. I specifically work with those who have moderate to high functioning Autism formally known as Aspergers to many. The empathy and insight of these individuals possess is incredible and I must say that anyone who would state they do not have empathy or insight does not know what they are talking about, has never worked closely with these individuals, and has not gotten to know their hearts, minds, and souls. Take the time, get to know them, let them get close to you, if they trust you they will open up and you will see their intuition and insight. A diagnosis to individuals on the Spectrum must include these traits or you do not have an accurate diagnosis of individuals on the Spectrum, you see this is why they are so sensitive, they feel everything, even your inner feelings of pain. They just can't always find the words to tell you.
