This is the coolest dog. TJ Tommy James was trying to survive the heat as He was with a homeless crack head.
He wasn't this size, he looked starved and needed to have a good home. So we took him in planning to find the REAL original owner.
Well, he wasn't chipped, wasn't claimed by anyone and now he is part of the 11 pack.

Ah, the first gym I learned how to train at...
The Elmwood Park Athletic Club.
This was actually 2001 when I had just torn my RT Bicep. I wanted to get in a few quick sets of triceps shoulders and a few pics before I was off to surgery in a couple days.
The doctors best friend saw me in my orthopedics office days before. Knowing that, he said I was stupid for training and kicked me out of the gym shortly after this was taken.
I love this little guy as he was my own son. π

I'm posting this picture because this is where I was just a few weeks back before surgery.
I needed to give myself a mental reminder of what I attained.
Because right now it is extremely challenging not to feel funked out from lack of exercise, but especially the muscle weight and gains I just recently lost after putting in the work and focusing for the last 3 months.
I'm human. It happens. For some reason many people think I don't go through the same stuff they experience.
But the thing is, I know this process all too well and it is slow. My other shoulder that was operated on took an entire year to get to a point where it was "good".
So I need at least 6-12 months of the right rehab training and optimal nutrition just to get myself back to where I left off.
I won't lie, it kinda sucks because I know what it entails.
It's a long road of ups, downs, physical pain and frustration.
I won't stay funked as long as I DECIDE to take immediate action and fully commit myself again to a healthy recovery.

I'm up and awake, can't sleep because I'm π hurting pretty good with pain at the moment π‘ .
I had a procedure on a partially torn triceps about a month ago and then had surgery last week for my right shoulder repair. I've dropped about another 10 lbs of muscle (probably) since the last 2 surgeries.
I got to admit, it isn't fun getting injured, being forced to take time to heal, losing gains, losing your routine, interrupting your focus and plan for moving forward. I know it definitely gets me depressed and makes me to start stinking thinking.
So, SCREW THAT!
From a very young age I learned to control my mind and emotions by visualizing what I did want. I always made my goal crystal clear in my mind.
So, in order to get my spirits up to where they should be so my body can have a better chance at healing, I threw together some old school footage of me training.
It gets me fired up and wanting to work out, so I hope it can motivate you and get you fired up and re-committed to your goals. π πͺ

Love Life Everyday.
It is a choice.

It is simple but true.
If you really want love life and maybe you are having a hard time doing so, then I challenge you to start taking 5 min in the morning and begin your day being grateful.
Focus your thinking on all the reasons why you can be thankful.
Picture people, places, experiences anything you can think of that gets you into attitude of gratitude.
Once you start in the morning, end your night before sleep with the same attitude of gratitude.
Do this DAILY and see how you begin to love life everyday..
Focus on what you want and love and bring it into your life

He started with 0 Pull ups and now can do 10!
He came to me to originally build balance and has now squatted 225, after not being able to squat too well on his initial assessment.
Also never bench pressed, just trained him with push ups. He wound up benching 145!

I am ready to hit 46 next week...I am coming back from an extensive rotator cuff, labrum and biceps repair, and about 11 months post op.
This was my 2nd shoulder surgery on that side and at one point it felt like it would never heal.
Thank God I am starting to feel good once again.
